Today is Denim Day !👖 In 1992, the Italian Supreme Court overturned a rape conviction, claiming that because the victim wore tight jeans, she must have helped remove them and therefore consented.

Enraged by this, the women of the Italian Parliament wore jeans in protest to challenge harmful myths about sexual violence. In 1999, Peace Over Violence launched Denim Day. Today, we wear denim to advocate for change and stand in solidarity with survivors. #DenimDay #SAAM
