i know it’s a bit late! but i wanted to reflect on the work i’ve done, and go through almost everything i made in 2023 for my stream. 1/🧵 i started off the year with a brand new overlay where i made art, animations, locations with little creatures running all over the place.

Twitch now uses your channel to train generative AI by default. You can opt out of some training here: twitch.tv/settings/security
Training for Generative AI Allow your channel content to train generative AI content models at Amazon. Turning this off does not opt you out of Twitch and Amazon using your channel content for other purposes described in the Twitch Privacy Notice, including using AI-supported Twitch features that benefit the community by facilitating streamer growth and monetization (such as real-time sponsorship campaign assistance), viewer discovery (such as recommendations), and community safety (such as AutoMod). if this is true and goes through, they better give me an option to opt out. the thought of this thoroughly disgusts me.

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

If you're a streamer looking for a cool music widget for your stream — I just launched Universal Now Playing. Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, TIDAL, Qobuz — pretty much everything works. Any streaming platform — local music support — no Spotify API crap. Just open the tool and play your music. Share it around to your streamer friends.
