Engineers are problem solvers, and @NJIT Albert Dorman Honors scholar Taylor VanGrouw, who is majoring in mechanical engineering, discovered a problem that a river ran through. Then he set about solving it.

Thousands of @NJIT alumni, students, faculty and staff have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, and NJIT is the proud home of Air Force ROTC Detachment 490. With tremendous respect and admiration, we thank all veterans for their service to our nation!
NJIT salutes those who have served in the United States Armed Forces, and we are proud of the many NJIT students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have served.
It was great to be with our Veteran Student Organization to celebrate them today.

Gina and I enjoyed attending the networking, workforce opportunities and mentoring event for our South Asian alumni and students. At @NJIT, we understand that events like this are a great way for communities to get together.

This fall, we saw the launch of the “Free Entrepreneurial Workshop."
I encourage everyone to take a few minutes to read more about this program and others supported by a great friend of the university, Paul V. Profeta.

The Nature Conservancy’s mission to protect the lands and waters on which all life depends resonates with the @NJIT community. NJIT aims to be more sustainable across our campus and in our community, as well in the research that we do.
#NJITMakes a Sustainable Difference
Sharing information in a Town Hall format enables us to come together as a community and share ideas. I want to thank all those who participated today, in person and virtually, as we provided updates and received feedback on the strategic planning process.

It was an amazing evening celebrating the 50th anniversary of the New Jersey School of Architecture + the 15th anniversary of the School of Art + Design, which we now know as the Hillier College of Architecture and Design.

Education is key in NJ! 🎓 @ROINJNews reports @GovMurphy's biggest takeaway from the #NJEastAsiaMission is that our education system — which feeds into a pipeline of educated workers — always garners the highest reaction from international colleagues.

The agreement between @NJIT and @NTHU_Taiwan — covering subjects such as AI, data science, sustainable infrastructure, & supply chain management — will bring together two of the world’s leading research universities to pioneer a new generation of world-changing innovations.
We have continued to build upon @NJIT’s relationships in Taiwan by signing two more MOUs with National Tsing Hua University and ECOVE Solar Energy Corporation. We also participated in a Startup Island Taiwan podcast and attended a SelectUSA event.

Our visit to Taiwan is strengthening partnerships and opportunities for New Jersey and for @NJIT! We signed our third MOU with Taipei Tech, one of the oldest universities in Taiwan, and I look forward to further growing this relationship.

The #NJEastAsiaMission has shown that @NJIT has a global reach. Three outstanding @NJITAlumni are also part of the mission: Adam Shain, VP of Aptar; Chao Yan, Founder & CEO of NuEnergy; and Tiffany Bohlin, president & CEO of Muller Bohlin Associates.

The #NJEastAsiaMission is producing amazing opportunities for New Jersey (@NJGov) and for @NJIT! We have established an MOU with the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) and were able to meet with numerous agencies and industries.

Thrilled to witness the signing of four MOUs to bring together some of the brightest minds in New Jersey & South Korea.
The first strengthens ties between @RutgersU, @NJGov, & @SeoulNatlUni and another promotes collaborative research in solar physics between @NJIT & @KASI_News.
I'm proud to join several New Jersey university representatives, including @DrLRepollet and @OspreyPrez, on the 2023 New Jersey East Asia Economic Mission. This is a great opportunity to “reintroduce” New Jersey to key Asian economies, including here in Japan.

I am excited to share that @NJIT has secured a $6 million grant from the @NSF to translate science and engineering discoveries into market-ready technologies!
