Does this care in 2 degree weather not deserve to be reimbursed? Should record profit insurers be allowed to stiff labs, nurses and doctors & get away with it Scot-Free? We’ll see @EdGainesIII @wendellpotter @mass_marion We’ll see….

In the hamradio world these geopolitical entities are often discussed.
Excluding Turkmenistan (which is becoming the real most wanted like North Korea) all the others have notable and active ham communities that are friendly.
I also have some friends from that area. What's else? 😎⚡️

Looking forward to hearing from the recruiting burners about why this is not only fine but beneficial and all part of the plan!

Your health data is the most important dataset of your life. I got tired of it being for sale, tracked through advertising pixels, and monetized down the road.
CalaDX fixes that.
Order blood panels, track your markers over time, and own your data.

Insurance wants to dictate your healthcare behavior. We call this the insurance scam. Their policy, their choice. Not yours, not your doctor's. Pay cash for healthcare!
General Medicine CEO @tjparker exposes a major flaw in health insurance price transparency:
Patients can fight for GLP-1 coverage for 2 weeks without knowing another brand could cost $0.
"Insurers have spent 20 years trying to design their benefits to encourage a certain set of behavior, but roughly no energy on making that stuff understandable to the customer."
"Your doctor writes you a prescription for one brand of GLP-1. You go to the pharmacy and they say, you need a prior authorization, it’ll take two weeks. If you had just gotten the other brand that your payer had a deal with, they would’ve just paid for it."
"One is full price or fight your insurance company for two weeks, the other is $0. Customers would be perfectly happy to buy the one that’s $0."
"Doctors wanna be clinical. It’s a bad use of physician resources to put them in the mode of figuring out formulary status and price."

Many people really do think about healthcare with a child’s understanding of economics.
“If it’s needed, it’s provided” assumes unlimited capacity. Believing in that is a flat earther level denial of reality.
Everyone providing a “public service” still wants to get paid. Making the entire system run through public financing doesn’t eliminate basic human incentives. Ironically this whole conversation started from someone in the UK complaining he needed to wait 16 months for a CT scan for cancer.
That’s a $200-400 test here in the US. If you allow people to make money off of proving low cost high quality CT scans, you get ample access to those scans. If you run it through the government, you end up waiting nearly a year and a half.

I am not talking of a “non profit” status but of the entire profit motive behind an hospital. Of course doctors and all healthcare workers get compensation but the purpose of the hospital is just to provide a public service, not make money, and all the cost is shouldered by the -

I’m surprised they haven’t released the muscle percentage loss for Reta
Semaglutide is 30%
Tirzepatide is 20%
I’m hoping Reta is under 10%.
Patient should counteract this with healthy, eating, appropriate protein, exercise, especially weight/resistance training and possibly a GH secretagogue peptide

A Hollywood director dug into how OxyContin got approved.
You'd assume 50 FDA scientists signed off on it. In reality, it came down to one official, who Purdue took to a hotel room near DC for a couple of days.
He came out and approved it with a label saying that OxyContin was "believed" to reduce abuse. About a year and a half later, he went to work for Purdue. 🧵

We need to stop using the term “awards” when discussing IDR, the arbitration process administered by the NSA to determine compensation for physicians’ work.
IDR determines the payment owed for services already performed. That is all.
We were not “awarded” anything. We had to advocate for and establish the compensation we were owed.
Having to “win” payment for work already completed would be unacceptable in any other profession. It should be unacceptable in ours as well.

Single payer will never need 218 votes in the House.
State-backed academic systems are constructing it through vertical integration.
They acquire hospitals, employ physicians, control referrals, operate pharmacies and, in several markets, own insurance businesses.
Tax exemption and public capital subsidize the expansion.
Regulatory privilege constrains whoever might compete with it.
Multiple insurance companies can survive inside this arrangement.
Their continued existence creates administrative pluralism, which looks remarkably similar to consumer choice from a sufficient distance.
Then every insurance card leads to the same medical empire.
Payer count becomes irrelevant after one institution controls the supply….

Actually it looks like your saying doctors charge 10 times as much but in reality, the facilities that are not owned by doctors are the ones charging 10x.
the doctor owned facilities are 10x cheaper than the corporate or non-profit hospitals.
your headline states the opposite and is misleading.
