Christina Applegate needs me. I figured out my own medical mystery after being dismissed. A pathogenic bacteria, that rarely detects, was to blame. I helped my mom get properly diagnosed; it wasn't "headache syndrome". She had a brain tumor and intracranial hypertension.

Christina Applegate has shared she was misdiagnosed with MS. I can relate to the failures in our healthcare system after being dismissed by an infectious disease specialist. As for her, my best guess is she has undiagnosed Lyme Disease.

I have never, and will never, take a COVID vaccine Absolute rubbish IMHO But this is also a casual reminder to some out there: People did get cancer and have heart attacks before COVID jabs

Farewell and good riddance!
Thank you to everyone who stood with me over the years. It’s been a scary journey but I have always been grounded in my work and ability to provide exemplary service to my constituents. Trump and his administration have been after me since I arrived in Congress. I have always stood up to him and that will never change. The pedophile protector will never silence me.

I'll be so glad when midterms are over with. I am tired of the political ads in my mailbox. I'm tired of the political ads on my TV. It's like 24/7 in our face. What a waste in so many ways...trees, money, time...

Many women suffering from the disease are also scared to get a flare after a mammogram too. What should be a cancer screening tool becomes something so scary and often rejected.

Had I not done the research myself and became my best advocate after I was diagnosed with Granulomatous Mastitis and dismissed by a doctor then I would've had an unnecessary mastectomy. To listen to the Kevin MD podcast interview click here: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

A culture grew diphtheroid bacteria, and an infectious disease specialist dismissed it as a contaminated sample or normal skin flora. Gene sequencing months later showed it was behind a rare chronic inflammatory breast disease. The patient, Tami Burdick (@Tami1501), says that finding was the missed opportunity. Proper treatment came 7 long months later instead of early on. Here is the sequence she describes. She found a hardened area in her right breast during a self-exam and called her doctor right away. A mammogram, an ultrasound and a core needle biopsy scored BI-RADS 5, highly suspicious for breast cancer. It wasn't cancer. Then came painful, draining abscesses. She had done her own research before the infectious disease appointment and says she was probably better informed about the condition than the specialist was. The specialist did agree to some tests, including urinalysis and blood work. The finding that got dismissed was the diphtheroid bacteria in her original culture. With the right testing, she says, they would have learned the bacteria was pathogenic to humans. She then found a pathology test on her own, gene sequencing. A surgical breast oncologist told her without hesitation, "Let's go ahead and do this test." It named the bacteria, Corynebacterium kroppenstedtii. Working backward by process of elimination, she traced it to a hotel shower on a business trip. Her doctor, in an interview they did together, said that route is possible but not as common, and that she would expect to see more of these infections where there is flooding, sewage breaks, oceans or polluted lakes. Treatment was 9 months of doxycycline after susceptibility testing, a cleanup surgery at the 6-month mark of antibiotic therapy, and a wound vac for about 6 weeks, which she called probably the worst part of it. Wound care was almost 24/7. Her advocacy list from the conversation: 1. Form the best health care team you can, and keep getting second and third opinions until you are comfortable you have partnered with the right one. 2. Do your own research, because doctors have a lot of patients and will not be the experts in everything. She is not blaming doctors. She points to medical networks that pressure clinicians to see as many patients as possible in a short amount of time. Her closing advice: "Always be your best advocate." 70% of women have reported experiencing medical gaslighting or being dismissed by doctors, and unfortunately I'm part of that percentage. Always be your best advocate. So blessed my book is helping doctors and patients around the world.

It's an unbelievable tough job market with 7.11 million unemployed in the US. Layoffs are happening weekly. How are you going to stand out? An AI resume won't work as they all look and sound the same. Contact me for a new resume or some career coaching to amplify your job search.

It was a year-and-a-half journey I could've never expected to endure. A rare breast disease diagnosis was also rarely understood by doctors. So I did the research for them.

October shouldn't be focused on just breast cancer. There's so many other women suffering in silence with other breast diseases, like the one I had. #breastcancer #breastcancerawarenessmonth

Please know that flu shots for 50+ are mRNA. Moderna’s study showed 23 died in mRNA group vs 9 in traditional flu shot group. Side effects are significantly higher for mRNA shot. Neither mRNA or traditional flu shot have been shown to decrease risk of hospitalization or death.

This is what really upsets me: the CDC recommends that immunocompromised people, including children, get the flu shot, the COVID vaccine, and now the shingles shot. This is the last thing people with compromised immune systems need. Are they purposely trying to cull the herd?

With any new hurricane, like Isaias, I think about how many new cases we'll see of "GM". My doctor indicated that floods and hurricanes are higher risk factors for contracting the same bacteria that led to my diagnosis. Public Water Systems can become compromised from hurricanes.

Feeds are filled with pneumonic plague headlines. What comes to my mind is how an outbreak could contribute to antibiotic resistance, like discussed in this podcast: youtu.be/UfqxuxC6Mm8?is=5IYZ…

Wow! AI data showing 81% of all work is exposed to AI and robotics. Has your job been affected? The job market is brutal, but I'm glad to help with career coaching and résumé services. Competing with 7.1 million who are unemployed in the U.S. is difficult enough for job seekers.

80% to 90% of breast diseases and breast abnormalities are NOT cancer. With it being Breast Cancer Awareness Month I thought this podcast interview I did with Dr. Ari Frenkel would be great to share again. We need to take the guesswork out of healthcare. youtu.be/UfqxuxC6Mm8?is=jaUb…
