Funny how grokbot is better at being Gemini on my Pixel than Gemini is... Gemini also had a 15 year head start.
Grok Bot just got a very big upgrade on iOS and Android Grok Bot can now directly interact with apps on your phone and handle everyday tasks for you New capabilities include: • Messages: Read and send messages • Calendar: Check schedules and create events • Reminders: Set and manage reminders • Contacts: Find and add contacts • Location: Find nearby places • Home: Control lights, locks, and other smart home devices Instead of you constantly switching between apps, you can simply ask Grok Bot to get things done for you This is a huge step toward having a personal SI agent that can actually interact with your phone and make everyday life easier Rolling out now on iOS and Android. Update Grok Bot to try it

I saw a post the other day about how multi-tasking actually is slower and the "math" behind it... The fun thing is, is that that science is old. With a team of grokbots, it's exponentially faster than individual work and better quality. 2026 is different than any other year in history...

Saw somewhere that Oh My Pi had the best harness and that person who posted it was right. So much fun!

Higher mortgage rates are good for homebuyers. More inventory, lower prices

Ok... this is SWEET. I created a new GrokBot called HockeyScheduler. His job is to go monitor every hockey game and coaching session I have based on several different calendars. Since time's are always moving and adjusting, I get notified as well as a weekly report of when things are (added to my calendar as well). That's not the best part... I play in a City League. It posts all of the stats, schedules, and scores in a centralized place. This bot now gives me weekly updates on the team I'm playing, how their top players have been performing (as well as who they are) and creates a "scouting report" for each game that I can now access. Adult Rec Sports are going to get wild....

Tried unlocking a locked hdd (old Space Monkey V2) tonight to clear it. Grok struggled to break it so I switched to Fable 5.1 to give it a fair shot. After a few messages (and 15% of my monthly allotment), Fable said I was flagged for suspicious activity and re-routed my requests to Opus 4.8. Then... after another message (and switching to Opus 5.5 like a non-lunatic), it flagged me and said it was done messaging to me. Switched to Sol and it really didn't solve anything either. Takeaways: - Grok 4.7 and Sol were basically the same intelligence level for the problem. Took me down a few paths that ended up being dead ends. Sol took 10% of my API usage. Grok 4.7 took 4% of my monthly usage. Both were not bad for doing a weird side project at night to try to re-claim some storage. - Anthropic is stupid. Legit requests that everybody else handles and it doesn't even re-route to a Opus 5.5 but reverts to 4.8. Reminds me that Opus 4.8 was straight cheeks and stupid. I actively try to avoid using Claude now but this just takes me another step deeper down that path. - The Space Monkey team did a good job locking their devices down and current AI iterations can't jail break it easily. - Vivint was really smart and stupid at the same time. They acquired Space Monkey and had thousands (probably a lot more) out in the wild that allowed them to have a mesh system while letting customers retain half of the hdd. I remember them touting a Petabyte of storage cleared on their mesh network. Each HDD was 2tb and in today's market, that's a massive cost that they could rely on. If they knew what they had, renting storage to AI companies right now could have been a massive competitor to cloud storage (i.e. I don't want to put sensitive data into AWS / GCP but I'd trust a distributed (locked-down) system that sells it cheaper more. - For people that view Data Centers as bad, a distributed system like this is way better and provides users some extra benefit. Plug in the device and do it at scale and a company can source their data center "ethically". Only get to hack projects randomly and this was a "fun" one. Didn't end up getting really far. Burnt a lot of tokens. Brought up some memories of 10 years ago working on these devices.

Data. Talent. Compute. And a good sales team. The modern day advantage explained. If your team isn't prioritizing these, time to jump ship.
Elon Musk on WHY SpaceXSI acquired Cursor: “In order to create a compelling SI, you need a LOT of training data and need to SOLVE CODING. As far as I can tell, three organizations that had enough coding training data: OpenAI, Anthropic, Cursor (and, arguably perhaps Google) but you ABSOLUTELY have-to-have the DATA in order to train an effective coding SI. if you can't do CODING, your SI is not going to be very useful. There’s a LOT of Talented people at Cursor. basically for success in SI you need: Data, Talent & Compute..and you also need a good Enterprise sales team. Cursor also had that good enterprise sales team with Relationships with THOUSANDS of companies. Those were VERY SIgnificant advantages.”

I'm voting straight ticket Republican for the midterms. Special caveat though... If you impede the SAVE act and don't act like a unified party in power, the primaries are going to make sure you become unemployed.

Grok Bot now forces you to have a "leader" bot. Curious to know why? I know traditional "business" runs with a leadership team and then workers. This carries over the logic of having one bot to check in. What if I want to run my Grok Bot team more like Elon and less MBA-ish? I like reaching out to individual bots regardless of structure and understanding what's happening and don't rely on a "chief of staff". Am I missing something? Does GB work better with a chief of staff and why?

There are 336,000 less Government employees and $16 billion has been cut from USAID and there has been no negative change. What’s that tell you?

100% spot on. Very book smart but typically very low in creative solutions.
Actually, come to think about it, academia is populated with wimps & gamma males good at taking tests but crippled with a total absence of imagination.

Very much love Grok 4.7. Integrated it into so many things and it's really pushed the engineering edge for me. But there's something just fun about using OMP + local model. Harness is great. Model is actually really good. Speed is pretty quick and it's fun feeling my GPU and my office heat up as everything's running. Just feels cool.

Oh my Pi harness is pretty sweet so far. Been using CC, GB, Agent primarily and this is hands down the best to date. Fun color scheme (Anthropic Orange is one of the ugliest to look at) and literally every question I have for my usage is displayed and available in OMP. Well done!
