I love The Diplomat & Keri Russell's constant anxiety fuels mine, but House of Cards changed streaming as we know it & this is not a fair comparison. A lot of people don't know this but in 2013, the show earned 9 Emmy nominations(including Outstanding Drama Series)breaking a decades-long monopoly held by broadcast & cable television networks. In summary, it told everyone that streaming was serious business for TV shows, worth the investment, and it has come to stay, even for Dramas. This was also the show that estabshibed binge-watching in TV(Netflix) where all the episodes were dropped as one. It turned it from a risk companies took with lower budget productions to things they now do for their most expensive shows. In that same momentum, it got Netflix viewership to surpass HBO & took them past $1 billion for the first time. So may una sha chill.
