O artista Movail anunciou que apagou suas publicações envolvendo personagens do Duolingo após receber uma solicitação da equipe jurídica da empresa. Aparentemente, o motivo foi uma animação ecchi da Lily, que é a garota gótica do Duolingo. A situação dividiu os internautas: enquanto algumas pessoas ficaram revoltadas com a atitude do Duolingo e começaram a produzir ainda mais artes H da personagem, outras defenderam a empresa justamente por Lily ser menor de idade.
