Today is our @colostomyuk Stoma Aware Day. The theme is Stomas Unlocked. Part of why we’re here is to unlock understanding and challenge assumptions about life with a stoma. Every time our players pull on the purple shirt, they show that people living with a stoma can play rugby league, take the tackles and be part of the game. And that message goes well beyond sport. Working, travelling, socialising, doing the things you love. Having a stoma doesn’t mean those things have to stop. Everyone’s experience is different, and getting there can take time and support. By showing what’s possible, we can help build confidence and change how others see life with a stoma. We’re showing it on the pitch.
