The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL), a bipartisan coalition of 150,000 veterans, students, and citizens today endorsed Congressman @TeamJoeWilson for reelection in South Carolina's 2nd Congressional District, citing his longstanding commitment to American national security, bipartisan international cooperation, and legislative efforts supporting Ukraine, humanitarian protection, and strategic development partnerships.
As a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs and Armed Services Committees, Co-Chairman of the U.S. Helsinki Commission, and a retired Army National Guard colonel with 31 years of military service, Wilson has spent over two decades strengthening international alliances and advancing U.S. security interests.
A leading Republican advocate for Ukraine, Wilson helped advance and support the Ukraine Support Act in June 2026, while working across party lines to strengthen sanctions against Russia and Iran and redirect frozen Russian assets toward Ukraine's defense.
“If I have to choose between Ukraine and Putin, I choose Ukraine,” Wilson said following his support for the Ukraine Support Act.
Wilson’s efforts also extend to humanitarian protection and international development. In June 2026, he co-introduced the Ending Child Soldiers in Africa Act with Rep. Jimmy Panetta (D-Calif.) to improve reporting on child recruitment, and partnered with Rep. Jonathan Jackson (D-Ill.) to target networks recruiting African nationals for Russia’s war in Ukraine.
