At ~45 PH/s, Public Pool is statistically expected to find a block every 5 months. It’s been running for over 2 years, yet the public instance has still found no blocks.
Solo CKPool, on the other hand, consistently delivers results: 16 solo blocks in 2025 alone, many won by regular hobbyist miners with small setups.
The Bitcoin network is secured by miners actually finding and building on blocks. A pool that does not contribute to block production secures nothing and pays out nothing.
For most small miners doing lottery-style solo mining: CKPool is the better choice.
