The attempt to arugula-ize Obama’s Cheesecake Factory comment is actually insane. The reason the joke landed is precisely *because* it was relatable to folks who go to the Cheesecake Factory. Elitism woulda been him referring to French Laundry as if everyone goes there. Just because conservative media elites are too dumb to get the joke doesn’t mean it was a bad joke. It just means they are dumb.

I'm not Canadian.
I mean, did you have *Russia* in mind? (Laughs.)
In "Alien" (1979), when the remaining four crew members discuss strategy, Lambert wants to abandon ship, but Ripley points out that the shuttle only holds three. Why doesn't Ash simply volunteer to stay, and hurry everyone off to the Narcissus? That would have suited everybody.

In December 1948, Albert Einstein and other Jewish intellectuals warned Americans that Menachem Begin’s party was built on terrorism and fascism.
On December 4, 1948, the New York Times published a letter signed by Einstein, Hannah Arendt, Sidney Hook, and more than two dozen others. It was written as Begin, former leader of the Irgun, toured the United States to raise support for his new Freedom Party (Tnuat Haherut / Herut).
The letter said the party was “closely akin in its organisation, methods, political philosophy and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties.” It described the Irgun as “a terrorist, right-wing, chauvinist organisation” and said the movement preached “an admixture of ultra-nationalism, religious mysticism, and racial superiority.” Terrorism against Jews, Arabs, and the British, the signers wrote, was a means; a “leader state” was the goal.
They specifically pointed to the April 1948 attack on Deir Yassin, where Irgun and Lehi forces killed large numbers of Palestinian villagers, as an example of the methods the party carried into politics. The letter urged Americans not to be misled by Begin’s visit or by post-independence talk of freedom and democracy.
Begin’s party later became a core of Likud. The warning Einstein signed was not about some fringe faction. It was about the political lineage that still shapes Israeli policy toward Palestinians.
If the USA were a parliamentary democracy, Donald Trump would have been forced to stand down as party leader months ago.
Started a dojo business. Hired four senseis. The demand was so high that I hired a fifth. Even then I had too many students signing up, so I asked the staff to put in extra hours. Now I've got one, two, three, four, five, senseis working overtime.
Watched a couple of episodes of "The Rockford Files" on a 4K screen. It looks absolutely incredible. All shot in 35mm Panavision, most of it on location. Fantastic time capsule of 1970s Los Angeles.
Not sure why this only dawned on me today, but all the MAGA drones clearly assume that if "the libs are losing", the corollary is that they must be winning.
Every time I think the average MAGA IQ can't go any lower.

When did Americans become such hopeless pricks?

As always, "blood libel" is Zionist for "oh fuck we got caught again".
Astonishing @thetimes blood libel headline. These people obviously don’t care about British Jews whatsoever. We’re dead.
This is complete nonsense. Semenya, Wambui and Niyonsaba are all biological males with the 5-ARD DSD.

You should have seen the religious persecution I experienced as an apologist for a yoga cult that manufactured nerve gas. Whenever I brought up the necessity of unleashing it upon unsuspecting subway commuters, people would cruelly shut me down, mock my beliefs and shun me in the most spectacular ways possible. The anti-Yoga haters would slowly back away from me when I tried to explain to them that Sarin attacks on non-believers was doctrine of the highest order, commanded by God and prophesied by the Guru himself. I feel this young woman's pain, and hope she can one day ride to heaven on a cloud of white phosphorus.
