One of my guy who is a forex trader reached out telling me he lost $400k early this year, he reached out again last month saying he’s lost over $2M in total this year. This is someone who has made millions of dollars from forex and he’s been trading for over 10 years. Now will I say he’s poor with managing money? Not necessarily! Since it’s the same forex that gave him that much money to start with. People get in their emotions, abandon risk management, take the wrong trades, invest in the wrong things even after doing their own research (the research might not be enough), have failed businesses, get scammed. There’s a lot of ways you can go from 100 to 0. But the good thing with people like this is that, the same knowledge and mindset which got them there can still return them to that position. It might just take time. And this is why I respect people who have been rich for at least 10 years and are still up, it takes a lot of work to manage wealth and not lose it.
