Dear @Xbox, I haven't received this poll but if you put a disc drive AND make games come complete on disc (as opposed to disc downloaders), you will have many of us in the bag.
Get another easy and big win over @PlayStation.
EXCLUSIVE:
Microsoft is asking fans whether they want the next-generation Xbox to support physical media, Power Up Gaming understands.
A survey that has recently gone live on the Xbox Insider Hub app suggests that the company has yet to decide if the next Xbox will have a disc drive. Images showing portions of the survey can be seen below.

Ever since Sony’s announcement, and it’s like I almost completely lost my hype for gaming, after being super hyped from summer games week🚀
It’s not even just about discs, and the ramification of their end, it’s the fact that this is the culmination of the industry saying:
“We don’t care about you, we don’t gaf about gaming, passion or creativity. It’s strictly just a business”
This isn’t just the end of discs, this is the end of our patience towards the bastardization of our beloved hobby, and its hijacking by creatively and morally bankrupt execs
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Sony is pushing the digital format, eliminating physical media and closing its PS3 and PS Vita stores. This will severely damage the secondhand market and retail outlets.
The EU has sanctioned Apple for comparable practices regarding digital rights.

Don't Kill the Disc: Tell Sony to Keep Physical PlayStation Games - ¡Firma la petición! c.org/kntJRCzqhy vía @change_es
Cualquier gesto es clave para hacernos oír.
Siempre he apoyado y seguiré apoyando el formato físico.
