Texas Southern hasnt gotten much going throwing the football but Athean Renfro and QB Cam'Ron McCoy are making Southern pay with ground attack. McCoy just had a big run for a TD to the Tigers up 21-7 early in the third quarter.

Look where Texas Southern and Prairie View rank in NIL money in the SWAC. It looks like somebody is going to have to get their money up.
If the Rockets can make it deep into the playoffs during this Kevin Durant era will largely depend on the continued growth of Amen Thompson, who was given a nice phat extension this off-season.

My thoughts exactly @clarencehilljr
For those still in that the Texans-should-move-on-from-C.J.Stroud-camp, y'all are missing a special season in the make. Stroud is a special QB and deserves fans support and his money.

Texas Southern coach Cris Dishman wasn't feeling well enough to appear on camera but he talked to me about his decision to take over defensive play calling.

Prairie View kicker Ethan Eddins, Prairie View has been named SWAC Special Teams Player of the Week after delivering the Panthers' game-winning 37-yard field goal in the 41-38 victory over Alcorn State for Homecoming. He was 2 for 3 on the day, which also included 31-yarder.
Prairie View fans don't shoot the messenger but Tremaine Jackson asked me to tell y'all "Stop calling me and telling me about football because I don't call them and tell them about selling Tupperware or insurance."

Prairie View football coach Tremaine Jackson told the Defender what he liked about his defense and offense this past weekend after the recent staffing changes. And he jokingly left a message that wanted me to share with the PV fans.🤣🤣🤣
It's clearly the season for assistant football coaches to be humbled. Texas Southern football coach Cris Dishman says he will now call defensive plays. Dish, of course is an ex-NFL corner and defensive coach.

So proud of you
Tremaine Jackson's message to the PV fans continued and it's all in fun people. "We know what we are doing over here and we are going to get it done at a high level. If there is any staff here at Prairie View that needs to be trusted, it's probably ours."

Prairie View forces its will on the ground in end to pull out a must-win 41-38 Homecoming victory over Alcorn State. The win also ends a 2-game losing streak and keeps the Panthers in the SWAC West conversation.

This was great time with the Westside football team @coachcedric who I've known since I covered as athlete at TCU. Thanks @TwizzTwizz1 for joining me and give the student athletes some beneficial recruiting knowledge.

@TerranceCFB appreciate you speaking to boys at Westside. We enjoyed hearing about your profession . Thank you again for your positive influence.
While it seems the defending SWAC champ and national championship runner up Prairie View has fallen into a desperate situation, coach Tremaine Jackson says he always coaches with urgency not matter the scenario. It's always 4-and-1. Click to see video.

It seemed like more of a knee-jerk reaction when Texans coach DeMeco Ryans announced that was taking back over defensive play calling. But after watching the unit against the Titans, it might just be the move the Texans need.

After a disappointing 2-5 start and 2-2 SWAC record, Prairie View coach Tremaine Jackson has shook up his coaching.
