From today's Athletic: "... an image it has never outgrown...feels native to the place - fast, theatrical and unruly enough to belong nowhere but Lubbock." Love it. nytimes.com/athletic/7686612…

Texas Tech University’s Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources has received a $28.9 million USDA grant to establish a Food Science, Safety and Workforce Development Complex within its planned new flagship building.
With support from the USDA, the State of Texas and the On & On Campaign, the Davis College Flagship Building will keep Texas Tech at the forefront of agricultural research, education and workforce preparation well into the future.
“Agriculture has been central to Texas Tech’s mission since the university was founded, and it remains essential to our future. We are grateful to USDA for recognizing the significance of the work done by Davis College and the role Texas Tech can play in advancing food security and agricultural innovation.”

One of my favorite fun, traditions @TexasTech: visiting with our students while you hand them a hot dog. Thank you all for dropping by, and have a great year.

Richard Davis (class of 1969) left more than $30 million to Texas Tech engineering in honor of his father.
Lt. Gen. Waymond Austin Davis (class of 1936) studied engineering here. His son made sure others could too.
A legacy that continues ON&ON.

You made Red Raider Nation proud once again, not only for all you accomplished on the field, but through the impact you've made beyond it.

Couldn't be prouder of @TexasTechSB. They just showed us what is Texas Tech Tough. Overcame a hostile environment, rain delay, and annoying bugs. Red Raiders, let's take over OKC. #WreckEm #TexasTech

Together, we’ve surpassed a historic $1 billion fundraising milestone through the ON&ON Campaign, and the impact is already being felt. Scholarships are making an education more affordable, research is advancing, campus is growing and Red Raiders are competing at the highest levels.
Thank you to every donor, alumnus and friend who made this possible. With two years remaining, there's still time to invest in a future that will go on and on for students, communities and generations of Red Raiders to come.

Two evenings with a legend on our beautiful campus with perfect West Texas weather. Thanks to @TechAthletics and @kirbyhocutt for making possible such a 'feel good' experience for many Red Raiders and visitors.
