Sure, most people don’t use Bitcoin for day-to-day buys.. yet. Adoption grows slowly with any new tech e.g credit cards, the internet, even smartphones took time to catch on.
I have actually used Bitcoin for a few purchases (cars, watches) & know others who have too.
But that’s also proof it’s not just a “drug dealer’s currency.”
Yes, most current activity is speculative but so was gold for much of its history.
I've been told BTC is just a bubble for almost 10 years now yet here we are...
They adopted BTC alongside the US dollar not instead of it mainly to attract investment and lower remittance costs. You can criticise their government but it doesn’t prove the tech or concept is a scam any more than the dollar being used by corrupt states makes the dollar a scam

Not a Ponzi no central operator, no promised returns. High risk? Sure. Biggest scam? Nope.
The energy stat also needs context the traditional financial system’s footprint is far larger once you count bank branches, ATMs, data centers, card networks and global logistics.
