Zionism is Not Judaism And Never Has Been
June 1st, 2025

*many will be angry at this piece*
Zionism, the drive for a Jewish state, is often pegged as the root of what’s called antisemitism, but is it really hatred of Jews, or backlash against a political ideology?
Over the past 20 months, the Gaza conflict has shown how Zionism, especially under Benjamin Netanyahu, fuels resentment that endangers Jews worldwide. Worse, Zionism can be seen as antisemitic by lumping all Jews as Israel supporters. Traditional voices like Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro, alongside secular and anti-Zionist Jews like Norman Finkelstein, Dr. Gabor Maté, and Alon Mizrahi, call this out, standing with Palestinian and Muslim protesters globally.
Yet, Israel smears these critics as “self-hating,” ignoring the growing deep divide within Jewish communities. Zionism drives this mess and clashes with Judaism’s spiritual core.

It appears that the Israel lobby group Creative Community for Peace advertised a UK-based job.
CCFP is legally the same entity as StandWithUs, which is funded by the Israeli PM’s office. CCFP was key to the campaign against Kneecap.

Bigger warheads, AI targeting, no GPS needed: Iran shows off upgraded Arash drones
For the first time, Iranian state broadcaster IRIB was allowed inside an Iranian Army plant producing the Arash kamikaze drone, the Army's main strike drone, which Iran used against US bases in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan during the war.
According to the report, the latest version carries a warhead upgraded from 50 to 100 kg, with incendiary and high-explosive fill delivering two to three times the destructive power. It now uses AI-assisted precision targeting and navigation that works without GPS, and a new jet-powered variant has entered production. Arash is now part of a larger family of drones with different capabilities, and a new model is set to be unveiled soon.
The report also took cameras into an underground drone tunnel alongside Army Commander-in-Chief Major General Amir Hatami, who said production did not decrease during the war and that production centers have since been expanded. Officials say the Army's drone stocks are now far larger and more diverse than before the Ramadan War, with production spread across the country and running around the clock with the help of universities and tech firms.

Through its attorneys, @BTnewsroom has now issued an official response to the congressional witch hunt led by Rep. Jason Smith. An excerpt:
“Threatening compulsory depositions of journalists and newsroom staff to compel document production operates as coercive retaliation by explicitly targeting the core editorial leadership and journalistic staff of BreakThrough News. Allowing a congressional committee to haul journalists into deposition rooms to grill them on domestic and foreign policy reporting sets a dangerous precedent of state-sponsored press intimidation that chills independent journalism nationwide and infringes on core First Amendment protections.”

An Israeli policeman detains an elderly Palestinian bus driver in Jerusalem for no reason whatsoever. This is daily life for Palestinians all across Palestine.
Via @Ahmad_tibi: "It's not just street thugs attacking Arab bus drivers - it's cops too.
Look at what a cop does to an elderly Arab bus driver: he handcuffs him, humiliates him. Passengers try to appeal to the cop to release him: "Not before I identify him."
"I'm sick", the driver tells him.
"I'm sick too," the cop replies.
A sick cop."
