👑 Hail good people!
This is my last post on Twitter.
While I never posted much, I've followed many game developers and my news feed was filled with interesting game projects that I enjoyed seeing and wishlisting.
That changed with platform's ownership.
Today, my news feed is 99% generic engagement bait videos that have nothing to do with my interests. I no longer see interesting passion projects and cool new upcoming games. All I see is entertainment videos and
AI crap.
Twitter was flawed, but it wasn't a lifeless cesspool.
I wish the many game devs already found a new home to promote their projects. As for CGK, we will still post our reviews on Bluesky bsky.app/profile/cardgamekin… even if are still growing our following.
Cheers!

Occasionally we need to step up our game and go back to review popular titles we missed so we jumped right into One Step from Eden (by @OneStepFromEden).
Hectic, unforgiving, fun 👍

👑Hail good people!
We took to the seas and played Pirate Outlaws.
Sitting between a Yarr! and a Yawn, Pirates Outlaws is a slightly above average StS-like experience.
Recommended 7.5/10.

New review up!
We enjoyed the autobattler that managed to do so much with their 1 creature, 4 support card engines, but if the grind and RNG parts weren't as great.
Still overall a good game 👍.

Who knew that a standard deck of cards could be so deadly. We reviewed an enhanced version of the board game Scoundrel - simple but challenging.
Recommended, 7/10.

👑Hail good people!
This week we played Magin, a narrative drivern non-roguelike card game. Its unique mechanics are brought down by slow pacing and other issues.

This week we conquered, ehm, liberated planets in Clonizer (by @JuicyPlume), a deckbuilder with unit management and objective based victory conditions.
We had fun, Recommended, 7.5/10

👑Hail good people!
This week we took a look at Vampire Crawlers, the card game from the creators of Vampire Survivors.
While it does indulge in a combo-making power fantasy the card play can be shallow and repetitive.

👑Hail good people!
We reviewed two games this week, both ending up with a mixed recommendation as they both had redeeming qualities but also unique limitations.
Continued in chained posts 👇
The mobile aspects bring the game down and the tactical decision making is fairly limited.

Some good ideas, but gets repetitive quickly without some progression system or more complex gameplay.

We love to play board games, so we took a look at the classic Yellow & Yangtze (by @direwolf)
Quick matches, strategic depth and excellent UI - what more can one ask for? Recommended!

We played a RLDB (by @angparodidev) fused with the classic game of Pairs.

We reviewed two games this week, but sadly we didn't quite ended up enjoying either one.

👑Hail good people!
We sometimes dive into free games as they tend to be more experimental.
Deck of Delirium introduces some ideas (like promote mechanic) that could really work in a more fleshed out game. Recommended.

We drafted an army of gods to fight an army of Eldritch horrors in Gods Vs Horrors (by @oriol_cosp)
Easy to learn, harder to master. Solid pick overall. Recommended.

We played Aliosso, the Balatro inspired combo builder (by @FiorettoStudios)
Quick, fun and wombo-combo. Recommended!

👑Hail good people!
This week made Eldritch horrors know fear in Hunt the Pale Gods.
Good card play and deckbuilding but would benefit from shorter runs.
