The iPhone Duo’s outside screen is the part I was most worried about.

One week in with iPhone Duo 📱📱
Coming from the Pro Max, I wasn’t sure how I’d like the smaller screen. Now, I use it folded for most basic phone and app tasks. When I want an “iPad” experience while lounging around, the bigger screen is perfect. 👌
iOS + Apps 😵💫
Polishing and optimization is still needed. Some apps are still running in a smaller mode (like iPhone apps on an iPad). Others have tried to adapt but haven’t quite nailed the layout for closed vs open. Even adjusting wallpaper is annoying with all the different view angles.
Camera 📸
The camera has been great. It’s not as good as the Pro Max, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. A lot of people with a Pro Max are taking selfies with the front camera anyway. With the Duo you can take selfies with the rear camera and see the preview live. I kept doing this at Disneyland and it was so easy to get the right shot.
Surprise Features 🤩
It’s the perfect size for books, and that matte display is amazing. I want the nano-texture on my next MacBook Pro. Also, propping it up folded at 90 degrees to watch videos with my son has been great. Basically a perfect built-in stand.
The Crease 📂
It has a crease. You’ll feel it slightly and notice it when the display is off. But when you’re actually using the device, you don’t notice it. Non-issue.
Pro Tip 🙌
Register multiple fingers to Touch ID so there’s always one close by no matter how you’re holding it.
