Two thirds of drafted wide receivers never post a single 80 target season...Not ONE of them was ever fantasy relevant.
Round 1 WRs: 1.746 points per target (PPR)
Day 3 WRs: 1.703
The talent gap you think you're drafting isn't there. The ACCESS gap is everything. Earn snaps. Earn targets. Earn fantasy relevance.
Check out my newest article on The Lab @TheLab_FBB
It mirrors my running back article from a few weeks ago, but you'll read why it's a completely different story for receivers. Come see why 80 targets is a door that wide receivers MUST get through to find any success in the NFL, and especially for your fantasy teams. I dive deep into that data, and more, and tell you exactly who's worth drafting, and who's worth leaving behind. Check it out!⬇️

Lemon is in the lost causes but he is not TRULY a lost cause. I expect his target volume to keep increasing and being up his average.
TNF is in just a few hours and the Week 8 model is live! Send me your Thursday Night Football start/sit questions and I’ll answer them considering each player’s floor, ceiling, and actual projection.
With Lamar out Huntley is my QB11 in 4 pt pass TD and QB16 in 6 pt. Worth a spot start consideration if you stream QB
Doing start/sit questions a bit earlier this weekend. I’ll answer each in 3 parts:
1. Who’s the simple start, best projection
2. Who has the highest ceiling, if you need a massive game
3. Who has the best floor, if you need to avoid a zero
We model each, so send your questions!
Week 7 TE Start/Sits🧵
Starts:
✅ T.J. Hockenson - Great matchup, solid target share. TE9 per my model this week.
✅ Dalton Schultz - 3rd highest implied point total. Projected 6.2 targets. Solid start.
✅ Harold Fannin Jr. - Matchup is fantastic. Targets w/ opportunity.
Week 7 WR Start/Sits🧵
Starts:
✅ Tee Higgins - He’s had some off weeks but this is projected to be a great one. 8.3 projected tgts, great ceiling.
✅ KC Concepcion - Flex start. WR31 in my model this week. Big ceiling against the Titans.
✅ Jalen Coker - Targets galore. High implied point total. WR24 but safer than projection.
✅ BONUS: If he plays…Devonta Smith - Some say the Eagles are in ruins…but not Devonta! He’s going to get the targets, has a massive ceiling
Week 7 RB Start/Sits🧵
Starts:
✅ Aaron Jones - Shocked me at RB7 in PPR. Projected 18.8 carries. Safer than his floor and often finishes higher within his range this week (9-26 points).
✅ Chuba Hubbard - He’s becoming automatic. RB15 in PPR per my model this week. Average run defense, he’ll get plenty of usage.
✅ Woody Marks - Great matchup and safer than his projection, typically finishes at top of his range (6-24 pts)
Week 7 QB Start/Sits:
Starts:
✅ Matthew Stafford - Even without some of his best weapons, hes QB7. 4th highest implied pt total. Solid ceiling.
✅ Aaron Rodgers - Let’s do it! QB8 for the Paris game. Lots of projected attempts. 43% shot at top-12 week. Fine ceiling, solid floor.
✅ Deshaun Watson - He’s playing against the Titans, that’s pretty much all you need to know.

This is a great reminder that we may need to start viewing elite TEs differently in fantasy.
Guys like Brock Bowers and Trey McBride aren’t just giving you a positional advantage over the TE field — they’re producing in the same range as high-end WRs.
If NFL defenses are going to be scheming differently (11-B), maybe fantasy managers should stop thinking strictly in terms of WR/WR/TE/Flex and start thinking of those spots more like (WR/TE) x4
Because if an elite TE is earning targets and scoring points like a top receiver while also separating from the rest of the TE pool, that’s not just positional scarcity.
That’s a premium pass-catcher with a built-in weekly edge. Maybe the real lesson is this:
We shouldn’t only tier TEs against TEs.
We should be tiering them with WRs to make better draft decisions.
HUGE shoutout to @TheDeltaDuo for putting the scatter plot together 🧠
