@semaforben of @semafor: "I think people on both parties think James Talarico is going to win. But as you say, that race and nationally, are kind of a test of diminishing marginal returns because if money in those quantities can swing races, it will. However, they have never been this level of flooded money like this to these races. It doesn't seem to be moving polls."

@MichaelAuslin, author of “National Treasure": "The Declaration was written for two audiences. One audience was at home. You had to tell Americans what had happened. [The other audience is] potential allies: the French, Spanish, Dutch and any other countries that would help. But to them, the British didn't need to know."
@MichaelAuslin, author of “National Treasure": "[After the Declaration was signed] No American knew that it existed. We take it for granted but not until 45 years later did any American even know this existed because it was a secret state paper even after the Revolution."
