Eduard Löwen approached St. Louis about his long-term future but the team said it wouldn’t look at options and extensions until after the summer
Löwen later told the club he wanted his team to look for potential long-term destinations, which St. Louis granted, as he is well-respected in the organization and a fan favorite.
Löwen is the type of person you will not hear a bad word about. Win-win for all parties as the midfielder gets long-term home in San Jose.

San Jose Earthquakes have hired former Portland Thorns & Timbers president Gavin Wilkinson. He was fired in 2022 after the Yates Report found failures in his handling of complaints involving former Thorns coach Paul Riley & the club’s response to abuse in women’s soccer.
Bay FC—who shares facilities and a community of fans with the Earthquakes—issued a statement denouncing the hiring.
