New Mexico's Austin Brawley has been honored as the Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week following his standout performance against the Bison. The safety's 56-yard pick six in the final quarter proved to be the decider in the Lobos' 21-16 win on Saturday and he added three tackles throughout the contest.

Key to @UNMLoboFB's 21-16 win over North Dakota State, helping the Lobos improve to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the MW. With just under 11 minutes to go, the senior intercepted a pass and returned it 56 yards for the score, putting UNM up 12, and led an overall defensive effort that limited the Bison to a season-low 251 yards.

A look at the schools just outside the AP Top 25.
Do any deserve to be ranked higher?

This is my @_redshirtsports FBS Top 25 Ballot heading into Week 9.
As the season continues to progress, there has been so much chaos over the last couple of weeks that while a major principle of mine is still Head to Head (Because results on the field should still matter), one conference has made this impossible to do cleanly.
That conference was the SEC and the 2-Loss Teams in with how that conference's results have shaken out? There was no way to rank those teams without contradicting myself on that principle (Full Explanation for how I ended up ranking them in the replies below)
Definitely let me know your thoughts down below! ๐

The pride and passion of the New Mexicans inside University Stadium tonight brought a tear to my eye.
Nights like tonight remind us what weโre capable of when we come together and BELIEVE. ๐๐ผ
@Coach_Eck has inspired that belief in all of us. ๐บ
