Is there a long-established and subscription-based consumer association, operating throughout the UK’s hospitality industry, which refuses to create an app to guide its loyal information-seeking members? 🤔
Other than @CAMRA_Official of course? 🤬
@UKHofficial ?

Usual trend persisting in the Championship, whereby three relegated clubs already due to receive parachute payments gobble vast majority of transfer income
Of £370m sales, £271m (73%) made by West Ham, Burnley and Wolves, with £150m (41%) by West Ham alone

A trading platform founded in Budapest, which then migrated to the tax haven of Dubai, where it sits outside the reach of regulators, and which operates in the murky shadows of fin-tech is precisely the kind of operation which Wall St wide-boys would be expected to embrace. 🤑
Not that it was hard to carry out the O-level equivalent of “due diligence” when the @finotiveone *sponsorship* deal was announced. 👇

The dangers of automated posts are highlighted in spectacular fashion today by the brand @BurnleyOfficial promoted on its US tour. Still silence from @finotiveceo 🙄

TGIF just got a whole new meaning:
Thank God It's Friday ❌
Thank God It's Finotive ✔️
Launching today.

When the CEO of Finotive said the shirt sponsorship for the US tour was a “glimpse of what’s ahead”, no-one realised how true his words would be. 😢

Watching @business as (yet again) the screen lists the same headline twice, and then features the same content twice, and looking forward to a Monday feature from @sfiegerman on the dangers of using an editorial AI-bot … when no humans are awake in the @Bloomberg newsroom. 🙄 – at Foulridge, England
You claimed the Kirpan was “banned” in several European countries, which implied an absolute ban.
I pointed out that it was only banned in public, so well done for accepting my correction with such good grace.
The capitulation at Forest was shameful, but as these stats from @TheAthleticFC reveal, Burnley’s sharp decline, in terms of Prem League PPG, began when the clueless Wall Street grifters led by @AlanPaceBFC rocked up at the club with their Moneyball mindset. 🤑 #twitterclarets

Quite funny seeing Americans telling us on here how we are living under Sharia Law in The Uk whilst we are on our four day bank holiday weekend to both commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus and to celebrate his resurrection.
The Easter Saturday stadium tour, which included yummy snacks, and was announced by @BurnleyOfficial just after 6pm, has already sold out. 😢
Note to future self to check e-mails after 5pm.
Alliteration is often either over-used or under-valued in news rooms, but @DominicWaghorn must have nodded approvingly to hear @BellusUK describe his observation that Iran now effectively controls 25% of the world’s oil as “absolutely apposite”. 👍

Pete Hegseth fired the Army and Air Force’s top uniformed lawyers on the same night he helped purge the Joint Chiefs. Told Fox News Sunday he wants lawyers who do not exist as “roadblocks to anything that happens.” Called them “jagoffs” in his book. Is now planning to transfer up to 600 JAGs out of the military justice system to serve as immigration judges. Commissioned his personal attorney of eight years as a Navy JAG to oversee what is being described as a sweeping overhaul of the entire corps.
Current serving JAGs told CNN they are afraid to give independent legal opinions. They are keeping their heads down. That is not a legal corps. That is a legal corps that has been taught to be silent when commanders need it most. The American military became the most professional fighting force in history not by removing legal guardrails but by embedding them. Iraq, Afghanistan, Haditha, Abu Ghraib - every theater where legal miscalculation turned tactical wins into strategic disasters got there the same way. Someone decided the lawyers were in the way.
This is rubbish *reporting*.
He hasn’t been “charged in connection with” 👀 anything.
He’s been charged under Section 18, which is only used when a victim suffers GBH, and the assailant intended to cause them serious harm.
It’s the most serious form of non-fatal violence. 🤬
The @BurkleCenter really needs to upgrade comfort levels for its senior academics. Great to listen to the considered thoughts of @dassakaye on @CNN … but those armchairs in Amsterdam really did not look comfy. 😳
Strange to disable replies on this story, as she made the rape accusation back in March 2023, a day after they *met*. He invited her to his home whilst his wife and kids were away, and was charged the same month. Staggering that it’s taken three years just to reach this stage. 🤷♂️
