🎥 Oscar-winning film director @RealGDT made a personal visit to @TheWallaceMon before deciding to cast the iconic #stirling landmark in his new movie ‘Frankenstein’.
The Mexican filmmaker, a three-time Academy Award winner, visited the city with key members of his production team as he planned his latest epic.
@FrankensteinGDT will be released on @netflix this Fri (7 Nov) and many local residents will be transfixed by the similarity between the scientist’s laboratory and our much-loved monument to Scottish patriot William Wallace, which was opened in 1869.
Production Designer Tamara Deverell said: “Guillermo, our concept artist Guy Davis, and I visited the Monument on our first location scout. The Wallace Monument was a very strong design influence for the look of our Abandoned Water Tower, which transforms into Victor Frankenstein’s cliffside laboratory."

Landmarks across Forth Valley were illuminated purple this evening to raise awareness of stroke and to show support for those affected.
The northern lights even made a small appearance, will share that later :).

Eilean Donan Castle 💙🏴💛.
This was photographed probably a good eight years ago now when I was travelling back from Skye with my workshop with Tom ( Land of Light Photography - his work is amazing!). Ive always loved the lighting in this image, although how I approach this image would now be different.
