It’s important to absorb those moments of delightful surprise in life. I am slowly learning this lesson.
Victoria has been around Torch 180 since 2020! She was in our first class at the building. She was the first person we hired. And she is dearly loved by so many. So much to love here!
So much bad news out there. Meanwhile, at Torch 180, people are getting trained for employment and finding jobs, and over 150 families per week are getting free healthy fresh produce.

We are getting ready for our annual Gala! This year, the theme is “Masquerade Ball”! The students have a big surprise for everyone who comes!
Recently, someone suggested I write a book of tips on how to start and run a nonprofit organization. Tip #1 - be sure you are deeply passionate about whatever it is you want to accomplish.
At the end of the day, I haven't a single doubt, Torch 180 is what it is because of God. Just keeping my eyes up as we move forward.
Running two nonprofit organizations is like jumping off a cliff every morning, spending the day figuring out the way back up, so you can do it again the next day.
When we give collectively—what we can, with what we have, from where we are—we can make massive change happen. Wanna help us keep moving forward?

We’ve been shorthanded this week. So proud of Shaun, Blake, Victoria, Alaina, and Carter. They stepped up big time today!!!
The more we spread positivity and love, the more it finds us. Negativity and hate work the same way.
This was one of those magical fall days when the leaves are beautiful, the weather is clear, and the sun is shining. Simply wonderful!
How hard can it be to spend a day thinking the best about others? Giving everyone the benefit of the doubt?
We got the most beautiful flowers from Trader Joe’s today! If you could see the faces of the people who are getting them. Pure joy!!!
We started the first new group of students we have had since COVID. They are pretty great, truth be told!
Look what's coming again!!! A Glow 5K! Super cool gear, a super cool after-party, for a super-cool bunch of students!!!

Thursday was AMAZING! We made history again when our three apprentices signed their paperwork and officially joined the FIRST culinary apprenticeship!
This guy thanks me all the time for giving him a chance to follow his dream of working in a kitchen. It’s humbling to hear him speak of his lifelong dream. Such a blessing. #dreambig #youcanttorchthis
