Feeling nostalgic and found my Musicall. Swapped out the band, replaced the battery, and it works like the same 20 years ago! #swatch

Thank you @TransLink for sending buses up to the Burnaby Mountain to pick us up! Drivers diligently took us home the best they could (our driver even cheered us up along the way). Stay warm and safe everyone!
Attending a conference in-person!! Sounds like a very remote thing now. But nothing beats the face-to-face interaction. Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. #MobileHCI2022
What is the most over the top email request for having you to be their supervisor? This one is high up there:
“I can only see my dream becoming reality under your supervision.”
I’m pleased to announce that my YouTube channel about Computer Science now has a custom URL

Super helpful advice! Re 5/9, we can tell if it’s just a generic template just by glance… for me who isn’t even looking for students I got emails that are essentially the same. If you don’t put in the effort don’t expect we do.
Thread with advice on applying to #grad school:
Finding a good supervisor is more important than being in the better university on paper/ranking. You want to be in a good environment to do research for a few years. You should get along with your supervisor. (1/9)
My condolences to Ed’s family and friends. I was fortunate to be co-supervised by Ed. He was a great mentor and a great person. He will be missed.
May CS Professor Edward Lank rest in peace. Our deepest sympathy and condolences to his wife, Michelle, and his two girls, Olivia and Charlotte.
Ed was a mentor and inspiration to students, staff and faculty alike at Waterloo and the HCI community.

Very good resource for those who are in the HCI area here in Canada.
If you're doing #HCI in Canada, check out the CanadaHCI Slack group. Good place to learn about upcoming talks, research, job & internship opportunities, ongoing studies, ask HCI questions, discuss teaching HCI.
