Bitcoin DeFi has a bridge problem: every "BTC on another chain" means someone holds your real BTC.
We're building it differently at @ordinetwork. Your BTC never leaves Bitcoin, and nobody holds it.
How: our contract can't hold BTC, but it can read Bitcoin. You pay BTC straight to the seller, wallet to wallet; the contract checks that exact payment on Bitcoin and releases what you bought. No bridge, no wrapped BTC, no custodian.
Speed: come in once with BTC (about 10 minutes), trade as much as you want instantly, cash out whenever you're done.
Cost: trades are batched, and one Bitcoin settlement covers everyone in the batch. One batch settled 1,107 actions at once. The busier it gets, the cheaper each trade becomes.
Instant on screen, final on Bitcoin.
Instant trading and Bitcoin settlement are live on testnet now; bridgeless BTC in and out is what we're building next. $ordi

When you point out that Solana prints roughly 65,000 SOL per day (worth about $6.5 million at current prices), people reply that this is what secures the network, so it’s fine.
They also say Pump.fun token supplies are fixed. But even with a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens, those coins can still be pumped to very high valuations using the free daily flow of 65k SOL — at least a few times a year.
We’ve already seen this play out with tokens associated with Ansem and others.

You're right that Bitcoin doesn't validate the EVM — but that's the same split Ethereum has. Consensus orders blocks; execution clients re-run every tx. Here Bitcoin is the consensus layer (order + data), and every BRC2.0 indexer is an execution client re-running everything.
How OrdiNetwork uses it:
• Users sign trades off-chain with their own key
• Up to thousands get packed into one compressed blob with a single aggregate signature and inscribed on Bitcoin
• Our contract replays every trade and checks every signature and balance. One bad trade and nothing settles
So the operator can't forge or edit a trade, only order and package them. Every BRC2.0 indexer re-runs our contract, so every indexer re-checks every band. And if the operator drops a trade it gave a receipt for, its stake gets slashed.
Gas: BRC2.0 already prices gas in BTC — you buy computation with the bytes you inscribe. No gas token. Platform fees are in ORDI, the first BRC-20, and every action's network fee is split between whoever settles the band, the executioner pool, the team and a community pool.
Still ahead: more independent indexers, and GPU executioners proving their hardware on-chain. The settle-with-replay core is live today on signet — run an indexer and check any band.

I am so bullish on Ordinals and Bitcoin, that notjing else really enters my thought process atm 🫡

There has probably never been a better time to add ORDI and BTC to the ORDI/BTC BISDEX pool
ORDI at $3.5
BTC at $80,000
If you add $10,000 here to the pool you start with around 1,428 ORDI and 0.0625BTC
Likely to earn at least 10% from trading fees paid in ORDI and BTC
And BIS token airdrop if the platform takes off
