It was a pleasure to inaugurate the National Cryogenic Electron Microscope facility of @iitbombay along with Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director IIT Bombay, Prof. Subramaniam from @UBC, Canada, & Prof. @shekhar_mande , Distinguished Professor Savitribai Phule Pune University & former DG-CSIR.
IIT Bombay’s facility is the first one of the four such national facilities supported by @indiaDST SERB (now #ANRF) and with great pride dedicated to the nation today.
The facility with its cutting-edge technology will help in research on structural and Chemical Biology and its implications in drug resistance, tackling problems related to neurodegenerative disorders & help address solutions to cancer.
It will greatly help scientists speed up high-end research eventually paving the path for a positive and progressive impact on the scientific landscape of the Nation.
Professor John Kuriyan will be delivering the keynote lecture on the 9th of March, 2024, 9:00 AM IST
