On Sunday I gave a speech at my step-mum's wedding. Here's what helped.

In 2023 I set the mission to support 100 women and non-binary leaders to take on their next public speaking challenge.
As of Tues 5th Dec, it's mission complete. 😀
And it took me less than 24h to decide that I 100% want to do it again in 2024...

This was a fun conversation with @rjrodger from @voxgig where we dug into frequent speaker concerns - slides, notes, mistakes and more!

Word vectors. Feed forward layers. Attention heads.
All new to me, but this article really helps break things down in an accessible way. Thanks to @johnaugust and Scriptnotes for the recommendation.

We need a few more people who take progress seriously, and are willing to do the hard job of imagining a future we want to live in. If that is you, consider this opportunity. Thanks @jasoncrawford.

Hello friends. Hoooo what a 6 mths it's been. (In a good way!) I'm really committed to my own learning and professional development, so I've been doing a deep dive into creative projects in Web3, and started a podcast Comedy Masterclass (Seriously fun!)

I am looking forward to speakers being able to give talks and presentations in their chosen language, rather than the often expected default of 'english' at many major events and conferences

So if you reply to my December Tools and Tips e-mail with one thing you'd like to learn about public speaking, I'll randomize replies and gift one speaker 2 coaching sessions with me focused on learning + applying. (This is what I love to do.)

I've been thinking a lot about the @AlexHormozi definition of learning...'you've learned something once you've applied it.'

I loved the visual cards. I thought that was such a great way to keep his concepts clear and visual, and for clients to be able to take away.
@SomiArian from @inpeakxyz has a unique and incredibly valuable perspective.
BFF has such a fun, varied and useful programme of clubs. I am going to go to the storytelling workshop tonight.
Loving the topics for next week’s spaces + clubs! What about you? 👀
