Role call!!! UIC is Iowa-bound for the annual MIKIW meeting!! #MIKIW2026
We hope the entire medicinal chemistry community will enjoy reading through their inspirational and thoughtful responses as much as we did.
In addition to providing you the opportunity to look at some of the great science that has been published over the years, we also reached out to the Authors and asked them to reflect back on their work in ACS Med Chem Lett.
In celebration of the 15th Anniversary of the launch of ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters, the Early Career Board assembled this collection of some of the most impactful articles from the Journal. doi.org/10.1021/acsmedchemle…

Spent a fantastic weekend at KU for the annual MIKIW conference. It was a blast showing the group where the magic all started. And we capped it off with Lisa Rusali bringing home the gold with an awesome oral presentation. #MIKIW2025 #noplacelikehome

We're celebrating scholarship winners from the recent Research Day. Today we recognize the winner of the Charles L. Bell Award, Lisa Rusali. Congratulations!
While we were at it, we tested all these compounds against the α3β4 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor and found a few analogues with improved potency compared to the natural product aristoquinoline!
In work spearheaded by the freshly minted PhD Dr. Carolyn Straub, we look at how changes in the aryl nitrile and terpene halves impact the synthesis of two isomeric products.
The latest Riley Lab paper using a Ritter-like reaction to form aristoquionline analogues is now out in ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs…
