RIP Declan
A 20 year old kid with his whole life ahead of him. Born 4/5 years after 9/11 and died fighting in another war in the Middle East
We are heartbroken to learn that Declan Coady—a well-loved and highly dedicated Drake University student studying information systems, cybersecurity, and computer science—was confirmed to be among the six U.S. service members killed in Kuwait on Sunday. He has bravely served in the U.S. Army Reserves since 2023 as an Information Technologies Specialist and had an incredibly bright future ahead of him. In moments like these, we must all come together to show much-needed love and compassion for the Coady family through this incredibly difficult time.

Happy Birthday to me! 80 years young, and still spreading wildfire safety fun. Cheers to eight decades of saying #OnlyYou can prevent wildfires!

On this day 2,068 years ago Julius Caesar was assassinated in broad daylight in the middle of Rome.
But it wasn't a mob or popular uprising — Caesar was killed by a group of disgruntled senators.
Here's how it happened, moment by moment, on that fateful day in 44 BC...

Why the hell does February sometimes get an extra day? And why is it shorter than the other months, anyway?
It's all because of what Julius Caesar did 2,070 years ago in 46 BC.
What's special about 46 BC? It had 445 days, making it the longest year in history...

4. Viewpoint Flattening:
From one angle, the shape is a circle. From another, it’s a square. People on either side argue over the true shape, each convinced that the other is wrong, because social media rewards us for arguing in 2D about 3D issues.
