Despite how happy I am for Brazil, the hypocrisy of the international applause is hard to ignore. The same actors cheering Lula’s 4th term called Chávez a dictator for it and vilified PSUV for “human rights abuses” while turning a blind eye to Lula’s troops committing rape and war crimes in Haiti. Lula is afforded their sympathy because he maintained neoliberal economics, played nice with Noboa and Jolani, blocked Venezuela from BRICS, and aligned with U.S. intervention abroad. This election result is, without a doubt, a victory for the sovereignty of Latin America against egregious election interference. But not all those applauding are cheering for our sovereignty. And, as yet another Latin American country joins U.S. mercenaries in Haiti, it’s pretty gross that certain ‘human rights activists’ (especially the Latin American pachamama libs) ignore the stain on humanity that was MINUSTAH simply because it was in service of the U.S. interests.

This is good, but as long as the domestic reactionaries are either handled with kitten gloves, or left to roam freely in your borders, the threat will only continue to delay. You’re surrounded by a continent ruled by the u.s/israeli right, act like it!!!
Israeli flag very normal thing happening here
The NYPD draws its strength from the extraordinary diversity of the city we serve. Our members come from different backgrounds and traditions, but they are united by a shared commitment to protecting New Yorkers.
This weekend, I was honored to join three of the fraternal organizations within the NYPD:
@NYDO_1993, @NYPDMuslim, and @NYPDSHOMRIMSOCI.
In these moments we celebrate the service of our Dominican, Muslim, and Jewish members of the department, remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this city, and invest in the next generation of cops.

Israeli flag front and center of the synagogue as she uses her position as Commissioner to reinforce Jewish supremacy and the collaboration between Zionism and state power!

🟢 Hamas is calling on the Arab League to hold an emergency meeting to confront Israel's policy of "re-starving" Gaza's population. Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem urged groups and movements across the Arab world to "take action on the ground" and pressure all parties to stop the starvation of Palestinians in Gaza.
He said Israel's renewed starvation policy cannot continue "amid the silence of the concerned parties."
The call comes as Israel lets in about 34% of the 600 aid trucks a day required under the ceasefire, according to a report the Palestinian side prepared for the truce's mediators. The UN's World Food Programme has also cut food aid to 500,000 people in Gaza over funding shortages.

How many olive trees will Zohran plant this time around
⚡️ Mayor Zohran Mamdani's NYPD is poised to sign a three-year, $750,500 no-bid contract with Israeli surveillance firm Cognyte for FalcoNet, an AI-driven device that mimics a cell tower to track phones and can be mounted on police cars and drones or hidden in a backpack, the New York Daily News reported.
Cognyte won a tender to sell intercept spyware to Myanmar's state telecom weeks before the 2021 military coup, Reuters previously reported. Meta banned the firm the same year, saying its customers used fake accounts to target journalists and politicians in Kenya, Mexico and Indonesia.
The firm is part of an Israeli surveillance industry that grew big as a result of the military's monitoring of Palestinians, whose phone calls Israel's Unit 8200 has intercepted and stored by the millions, including to carry out genocide in Gaza and enforce a brutal illegal occupation in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
Remember when those of us who pointed out that Mamdani is the mayor of New York City, and that his administration exercises executive authority over the NYPD, were accused of engaging in purity politics? Well, between directing additional funding toward Zionist organizations and the NYPD’s reported partnership with the Israeli government the same government responsible for the pager attacks in Lebanon we are now confronting the very concerns we raised.

we going to need purges
Federal Judge Roy Altman says he's taken "ten percent of all the active federal judges in America" on trips to Israel "just in the last three years."
Now, he's apparently making state supreme court justices humiliate themselves by competing with one another to go on said trips.
"Whoever's going to go is going to have to play Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who wins," he says he told the justices. "I looked down two minutes later, and these supreme court justices were going like this [and playing Rock, Paper, Scissors]."
Absolutely insane this is being tolerated.

BREAKING 🇧🇷 The voter suppression is Brazil is no joke!!!! This is an active, criminal conspiracy to keep poor, marginalized citizens out of polling stations across the country.
Brazil: The Regional Electoral Court of Bahia has issued an arrest warrant for Pablo Souza (Ind.), head of the Municipal Secretariat of Mobility in Salvador, following the limitation of bus service in the city during today’s elections.

For Arendt, the banality of evil was not a synonym for ordinary people doing bad things, nor was it a label for respectable intellectuals who rationalize objectionable politics.
the normalization of extraordinary evil through ordinary bureaucratic processes is somehow wrong bc .... One guy was lazy actually. You're an idiot
Replying to @souljagoyteller
When Hannah Arendt wrote about the Banality of Evil in the case of Eichmann, she was describing how she perceived that Eichmann was totally disinterested in anything ideological or psychologically perverse. He was just a dull, incurious bureaucrat.
Of course, while there’s validity to Arendt’s point about how evil regimes are sustained by people purely focused on careerism, her specific connotation of banality falls flat considering that Eichmann was, in actuality, a deeply ideological man.
