Rick Insell told a story on the WCSA of when another college came calling Matt Insell to come coach. And while he wasn't ever going to tell his son what to do, he was glad to Matt stick around because the whole family knows MTSU Women's Basketball is something truly special.

When Matt Insell, new coach of the MTSU Lady Raiders, was asked about the WCSA show live at Prater's BBQ about criticism, he made it clear: The only thing he worries about is family and the opinion of his boss. The guy in the 18th row isn't really going to affect his mood.

Coach Sullens dug into what he thinks the deeper meaning is as private schools continue to explore non-region schedules. Could it be a 24-month tryout process to start trying to build their own association instead of relying on the TSSAA? Catch the WCSA show LIVE every Wednesday!

It's a topic that will continue to gain steam over the next week in TN: What are schools going to do when faced with region alignments that they don't feel favor their programs? The WCSA guys have talked about it for 2 years - what happens when 20-30 teams drop from region play?

CJ Taylor is going to have his jersey retired next week at WCHS, but he's quick to recognize he needed his boys in his senior class. When coach tried to sub out the rest of the starters vs. Riverdale & leave CJ in, he called an audible. His best friend ended up paying the price.

It's a weekly feature you can't miss. The Sullens Rant of the Week, sponsored by Supreme Building Products, touched on how WC's community support of athletics can be overlooked. But when you see a team come in with less than 20 fans, you realize how special Pioneer Pride is in WC
