yo @TimSweenyy you should organise an AI game dev boycott where all AI game developers refuse to publish on steam and only publish on Epic
Tim Sweeney is criticizing Valve again over Steam’s requirement for developers to disclose their use of generative AI.
The Epic Games CEO called the policy “abhorrent,” arguing that developers are being forced to make a “political statement” that could be used against them by a “hate mob.”
Sweeney has been criticizing the policy since 2025, previously comparing the disclosure to a “Scarlet Letter” and arguing that AI will eventually be part of almost every game production process.
🎃 The Milgram Experiment was invited to join Steam Scream V which starts tomorrow!

We just submitted The Milgram Experiment!
"A curated, Direct style showcase for players actively hunting for new indie games"
Looking forward to this format! Thanks @clemmygames for trying to implement it!
Honestly, we didn't need AI. It's just for a bunch of rich people (and lazy users). That wasn't the world's problem. And what have we seen so far? Lay offs in most of office jobs. AI music, AI games, AI propaganda. Waste of resources.
We just didn't need this!
That was such a cool showcase
Checking out CRITICAL REFLEX TIME and some cool Steam Next Fest Demos! Yoooooo!

8000 demos in Next Fest is kinda of crazy. We decided not to include The Milgram Experiment this time. Maybe we will wait until next Next Fest when the situation is addressed. A lot of devs, streamers and player are complaining that it's just too much... #nextfest
I'm not sure what the solution is, but Next Fest is one of the most important events to get your game noticed (if it's good).
Steam Next Fest is facing huge backlash over the rise of AI-slop and low-effort games.
The October event has 8,011 demos, nearly twice as many as June., developers say the flood of low-quality “AI slop” is making it harder for real indie games worth to play
Back in June, roughly 1 in 5 games at Steam Next Fest disclosed using AI. Now, just a few months later, that number has jumped to around 1 in 3.
Some developers have even avoided public demos because they fear their games could be copied.

Made a quick video for any indie dev who's been nervous about announcing their game lately
Not a strategy video. It's about the one thing in your game nobody can copy, and why that matters more than ever right now
This one's for you ❤️
