Why give Arsene Wenger credit for consistently getting knocked out of the Champions League 2nd round?

You don't need a team of superstars to not lose 5-1. Leicester showed that winning title last year.

Difficult to have any sympathy with Wenger. So often coming up short. Huge wage bill, big money signings. Just not good enough.

All you have to do is be compact, be tactically aware and work hard to avoid a 5-1 roasting. Utterly embarassing. For Arsenal & Prem Lge

Huge wage bill at Arsenal too and can't even avoid getting smashed.

It's just utterly disgraceful seeing that Arsenal result. What's the point qualifying if they're never even remotely competitive?

Chelsea did well to get 3 points but first 11 remarkably similar to one that won the league in 2014-15, need to sign at least 2 new players

Another season and another utterly underwhelming Arsenal side from Arsene Wenger. Surely in top 4 race not genuine battle for the title.

Wingers being direct a huge part of Pep's Bayern. Early signs City will be similar. Potentially big positive for Sterling.

All four of Fosu-Mensah, Januzaj, Borthwick-Jackson and Pereira have shown enough to at least keep on their books.

And you thought Mourinho was going to 'uphold club traditions' by bringing through the youth.

Plot twist, Kante's all over Eder and doesn't allow him to take a shot. Oh, wait.

Portugal's wide play reached its zenith at the time their best header of the ball is off the pitch.
