Every student can answer questions in class. You just have to have the skills to empower them to feel safe enough to do so.

We invest heavily in our Early Years team. Because we know that if we want our kids to succeed at 11 and then 18 we need to invest in them when they are 3 and 4.

Seeing the events in France. . . Makes me realise how great our education system is in in our country. Why doesn't anyone ever acknowledge that?

I was asked about wellbeing. Staff wellbeing comes from feeling included, valued, supported. To know you are part of a team, that you can take risks and make mistakes and that's ok. It's not about cakes in the staffroom. When working in a toxic environment, cakes won't cut it!

I've been teaching and leading schools for over 25 years. I know that if I can't meet our students' personal, social and emotional needs, I'll never meet their learning needs.

I was asked recently if I could be an Ofsted inspector. Absolutely not. No chance.

I was born in England and have spent my entire life thinking I'm English. Why am I now being told that I'm not? What am I then?

A parent of a new Reception child told that me that she had chosen our school because everyone on her street told her how great our school was. That is worth morth than 50 Outstanding Ofsted inspections.

There should not be any grades on an Ofsted Inspection Report. Just detail what the school does really well. And what needs to be worked on. And how the school will be supported to improve. That's what parents want to know. They don't need grades and comparisons.

If we want our students to succeed at 11 and 16, invest in Early Years please.

Wellbeing of students in schools starts with wellbeing of staff. If the staff team feel supported, included and heard; they will do the same for our students.

Behaviour policies in schools should be designed to meet the learning needs of students. End of. Not to make adults lives easier.

I'm a Principal of 2 schools with nearly 2000 kids. All my most memorable moments this year involved teaching the kids. Still the best part of the job!

As a school leader, the biggest challenge at the end of a term is actually switching off. It ain't that easy.

Across our Federation, we and I have had a great year: I've been able to teach as much as possible. I've led a coaching group for all staff. I've attended so many planning sessions. How? Because I have'nt had to waste time thinking about Ofsted. It's been great for everyone.

Staff wellbeing isn't about biscuits and cakes in the staff room. It is about making staff feel valued, included, respected and listened to. Then they'll stay
