We’re delighted to share that @IPPR won the @TweetMRS Award for Public Policy/Social Research alongside our partners @thinksinsight, Kaleidoscope, and Jessie Cunnett.
This work, commissioned by the DHSC, fed staff and patient experience directly into the 10 Year Health Plan.

Tomorrow we're dropping interesting research on Reform curious voters — what attracts them, but also what puts them off
I discuss the findings on this week's pod w/ @ThinksInsight, @p_surridge, @Alain_Tolhurst & unplanned guest: Alain's chicken, Judy!

Reform's lack of experience is the biggest concern for people curious about voting for them
The party being a "risk", and it having no policies barring immigration, are also worries, according to @ThinksInsight research shared with PolHome

What is Reform-curious voters' biggest hesitation?
The party's lack of governing experience
According to new @ThinksInsight research shared exc w/ PolHome
Reform as a "risk" to the country, and a single-issue party (immigration), are also concerns

.@ThinksInsight found that 19% of people are 'soft' Reform considerers — they're looking at Farage's party, but others, too
They include 14% of the Labour vote and 37% of the Tory vote last year
This cohort could be crucial, as they could determine whether Farage becomes PM

But the research showed just how remarkably "sticky" Reform's 'strong' support is
There is a 25% that, "when presented with any weaknesses or concerns about the party, they tend to dismiss them as untrue or unimportant, or flip them around and say they are actually a strength.."

"While this group of voters accept Reform’s strengths, they do have some clear reservations*," said @ThinksInsight's Allie Jennings
*Lack of experience; no plans, apart from on immigration; a risky choice
There was also wariness about Farage himself among this 'soft' group

Rival attacks on Reform up to now have largely focused on racism (Labour), left-wing on the economy (Tories), and soft on Putin (everyone)
This new @ThinksInsight research suggests little experience / high risk are the biggest concerns in the minds of voters unsure where to go

Ben Shimshon, CEO of Thinks Insight & Strategy, told PoliticsHome: "The challenge for the government is that the more they do to shore up their vote on one side of the ledger, the less attractive they become to those on the other side."

In our Budget preview: the electoral headache facing Labour
New @ThinksInsight research shared with PolHome finds 23% of Labour’s 2024 vote says there’s now some chance they’ll vote Reform, and 55% says the same about Lib Dem / Greens
Both groups have grown by 5% since June

Thinks Dialogue's ongoing public engagement programme with @NHSEngland and @DHSCgovuk have now published the second report in a three-phase project exploring public trust in how health and care data is used. 1/5
⚠️ But there’s still a major gap when it comes to public understanding – many feel that communication around data use, and their rights (like opting out), is unclear or inconsistent. 4/5
📌 People want more specific principles and models for how their data will be handled, not just promises of "transparency."
