This still hasn鈥檛 sunk in yet. I doubt it ever will. #NUFC 16.3.2025 Carabao Cup winners 馃弳
I think this is the most damning aspect of NUFC currently, 拢1bn spent nearly and THIS is our forward line 5 years on from our takeover, got to be the worst attackers in the Prem and we've got 拢300m of attackers who arent much better sat on the bench
5 years into the takeover, fingers need to start being pointed elsewhere. #NUFC

I love eddie howe for that cup, but getting bucked off Bristol city and looking at the squad he and his nephew built knowing it's in for another relegation scrap and he walks, coward, he's left Jaissle with a mountain to climb.
I called our David Hopkinson for being a coward and letting Eddie make the decision when we needed decisive leadership towards the end of last season, instead he allowed him to continue only for Howe to quit anyways, whilst that was going on we allowed Wilson to spend 拢100m on players neither Howe or Jaissle rated, a total calamitous few months from the Canadian Saul Goodman

So thought balloons put out by someone at the Premier League or club involved regarding a big point deduction this reason and something next.
Sum total?
No titles rescinded.
City back in 2-3 seasons
They'll keep plenty of players to compete plus academy.
So 20 trophies, elevation from nationally big-ish club to globally big club, owners carry on regardless, nothing to see regarding last few years including fees, player and former managers contracts.
Seems fair.
If that's the punishment then I genuinely hope Newcastle United in particular just blow everyone out of the water and overheat the system in England so much that it will be impossible to compete at all. That they win every major trophy every season for 50 years and destroy English football, bankrupting 50+ clubs as they chase the impossible.
Because if the punishment for a decade plus of deliberate corrupt practice is 2 or 3 seasons out of the Premier League then I'll cheer on any club in this land who does the same in the future.

To everyone who stayed in our corner:
Fight Night is coming back. 馃鈾ワ笍

Chased out? Eddie Howe left on his own terms after finishing 12th and being in charge of an absolutely diabolical summer of recruitment alongside his nephew. For all the great times and success, he is a massive part of why we are in this mess #NUFC
Some of you chased the best manager of your lifetime out the door cos you wanted something new and exciting. This is your new and exciting. Keep following him & you鈥檒l follow him off a cliff. He鈥檚 no good. This end won鈥檛 end well #NUFC
Jaissle with this squad is like putting Big Sam at Brighton. It鈥檚 not going to work because the players can鈥檛 do what he鈥檚 asking.
The recruitment has been a shambles, summed up by appointing a manager who鈥檚 tactical philosophy is incompatible with players at his disposal #NUFC

Newcastle have spent 拢179m to replace Alexander Isak and Dan Burn is playing up front in a Premier League game

A new manager doesn鈥檛 fix this btw. We鈥檙e still feeling the consequences of giving Howe complete freedom in Summer 2025 to buy crap when we had an opportunity to go to the next level. Throw in willingly letting our key players go and replacing them with kids, and it鈥檚 alarm bells
What you鈥檙e seeing here is the result of a club selling every player with a shred of talent and thinking players who weren鈥檛 good enough 5 years ago all of a sudden are now. This incompetent board have been bailed out for years and it鈥檚 all coming home to roost now. #NUFC
Couldn鈥檛 agree more the way I鈥檓 feeling at the moment. It鈥檚 just changing into something I don鈥檛 recognise. The same 7 or 8 clubs have their grasp on a huge global fanbase, the rest will never catch up. It鈥檚 only going on way.
I can see myself becoming less & less interested in football over the next decade. The money/commercial side has got to a point where the football on the pitch is playing second fiddle & more & more fans are priced out each year. I cherish the late 90s/00s football I grew up on.
A big few weeks at #NUFC in which we changed the badge for the worse, changed the Blaydon Races for no reason whatsoever, got humped off Coventry, and now we are giving Jacob Murphy a contract extension. I thought the point of sportswashing was to get us onside?
There鈥檚 an argument that #NUFC can鈥檛 blame PSR because we鈥檝e wasted loads on Woltemade, Wissa, Elanga & this summer too.
PSR is the exact reason we鈥檙e signing that level of player. Chelsea were signing fucking Crespo and Makelele. Man City were signing Aguero and Tevez.
