WHAT?!!!? Even MORE GOLD PLATES?!?!? Crazy…
Pyrgi Gold Tablets (c. 500 BC)
These are three gold tablets discovered in 1964 at the ancient Etruscan port of Pyrgi, Italy.
Two are written in Etruscan.
One is written in Phoenician.
They record a temple dedication to the goddess Uni (Astarte).
They helped scholars better understand the Etruscan language because the inscriptions describe the same event in two languages.
Orphic Gold Tablets (4th–2nd century BC)
These are dozens of tiny gold leaves buried with the dead.
They contain instructions for the soul in the afterlife, including what to say after death. They’re often only a few inches long, but they demonstrate that gold was chosen to preserve sacred writings.
“That could never happen”…
One of my favorite things about history is this:
Every so often, archaeology uncovers something that reminds us not to be too quick to say, “That could never have happened.”
The Golden Orphism Book is one of those discoveries… I just learned about it, myself.
Dating to around 660 BC, it’s an ancient book made from six thin sheets of nearly pure gold, bound together with tiny gold rings. The entire book weighs only 100 grams (about 3.5 ounces) and is preserved today in Bulgaria’s National Historical Museum.
This challenges the assumption that ancient civilizations would never create books from metal or that every metal record would have to weigh hundreds of pounds.
History has a way of expanding what we once thought was impossible.
Be careful about putting limits on what God could inspire, or what ancient people were capable of accomplishing.
The more archaeology uncovers, the more I’m reminded that humility is often the wisest response.
There are still so many stories buried beneath the earth, waiting to be discovered.
10 years ago today I got engaged.
For those of you following this story… that is only 5 days after our initial conversation 😂
It all sounds so insane now… yet it all felt so right and moved so perfectly.
I had met all but our oldest son by this point, and was creating fun memories with them.
It all feels like such a dream now.
I don’t know how else to explain it but that it was so perfect.
Looking back at these texts has brought back all the memories… it was all just so easy… nothing was forced… nothing pushed… just two totally different lives coming together in complete harmony.
Good Morning X!
It’s the Monday before Halloween and the last week of October!!!!!!
I had high hopes for myself but…

Here is my tip for BYU and UTAH fans to be able to face the next few weeks with as little emotional stress as possible…
BYU fans— expect us to lose every game we play from here on out, and expect Utah to win the national championship.
UTAH fans— expect to lose every game and expect BYU to win the national championship.
You’re welcome.

I’ve read the comment section and I love seeing the love from the UCF alum and fans! (Ignore the drunk and ignorant trolls that live in their mommy’s basement)
When you’re chanting “F the Mormons” you’re not just spewing hate at one school… you’re spewing hate to millions.
Hi guys…
Part of my story is that I have POTS.
If you want to learn more about what it’s like for me… I’d encourage you to watch this short little video.
I am a zebra or trifecta patient (not mentioned in the video) and also deal with MCAS and hEDS which many POTS patients do.
Thank you for taking the time to understand me a little better 🫶🏼
The Primary Program was so good!
Lil Miss gave such a great talk on Moses and sang her little heart out.
Oh… and I got to sit by my main squeeze again this week. That makes two weeks in a row.
God loves you… Jesus is the Christ… listen to the Holy Spirit and pray always!

“THIS WASN’T A COINCIDENCE.”
———————————————
@GerritWGong, I know you probably won’t see this, but I wanted to thank you. My sister in law FaceTimed me just now with tears of joy after having met you.
She’s been inactive for a while.
She’s been trying to go back to church.
Her boyfriend decided to start taking lessons recently as well.
They met with the missionaries recently and she wrote in her journal as well as prayed for a sign that what she is doing is right. If she’s on the right path of going back to church. If all this even matters.
Then you ran into her and her boyfriend shortly after that. I won’t share the rest on here, but I know what she felt; she will always remember.
Then before you left, you grabbed her by her hand, looked her in the eyes and said: (Her name), this wasn’t a coincidence!”
She said, “Troy. I know he spoke to me, but it felt like Christ himself was speaking to me!” I told her as Christ’s anointed, He was. He did. Through you!”
Thank you for recognizing and ministering to “the one.” Or in this case, two.
Sterilizing, mutilating, castrating and lying to children is not healthcare… it is evil.
Children are not experiments.
Children don’t deserve to be lied to about biology.
Parents and healthcare providers that lie to children about fantasy ideas that they can somehow be a different gender, by blocking hormones and be mutilated are causing permanent damage and lifelong trauma.
This is abuse.
Do whatever the hell you want to your body as an adult… I know great transvestites out there that live in reality, and they will say the same thing.
BUT LEAVE CHILDREN OUT OF IT!
10 years ago today…
I deleted my dating apps.
I knew I met the man that complimented my life… and in some amazing and miraculous way… he felt the same way about me.
Last night we were talking about our journey… and I told him I wished he wrote his side of things down too… his perspective and his experience… because his story is one of resilience and strength as well.
With his permission… I give you some of his side of the story and some more of our story:
Rob had been previously married… and that marriage… on paper lasted a total of 19 years.
They had 7 children within a 10 year period.
By all accounts, he had done everything right.
He was a returned missionary. He got married in the Temple.
He was a provider and worked hard to be everything he could be.
But as we all know by now… a marriage is between two people and both need to be committed to the covenants that are made.
Out of respect for our children, I won’t go into what took place.
But after two desperate attempts to keep his family together, he knew he needed to walk away.
Inside he was angry, bitter, hurt, and jaded.
But he remained faithful, strong and true to his covenants.
He wanted to be an example to his children, and teach them about Christ and His infinite love.
He has always been the best dad. He loves each of our children fully… exactly where they are.
He has been the rock in a very stormy sky.
I remember meeting 5 of the 7 of our children 10 years ago.
One by one I met them. I received different responses from each. I was given everything from immediate welcomes and kindness to a pretty cold shoulder.
But the strangest reaction wasn’t from them… but from me…
I felt an immediate love and bond with them.
I can’t explain it. But they felt like home… everything about this felt like home.
And 10 years later, I can honestly say, we are a family. They are mine, and I’m theirs. We were brought into each other’s lives when we all needed a little extra love and support.
God was in every detail.
And no… it wasn’t all smooth sailing… it was really hard at times. But I’d do it all again a trillion times to have my family.
Our family was built in a very unconventional way with a lot of broken pieces, yet those broken pieces have mended, and become stronger together… and it was because we had a firm foundation in Christ.
Attached: a couple more of our ridiculously sweet texts to each other.

Replying to @naomirwolf
I am thoroughly disgusted with EVERYONE at this point.
The rioters for their despicable actions.
The governments for letting in people who despise them.
The media for their gaslighting and collusion in all the corruption.
The citizens for continuing to vote for complete losers who have no interest in doing what's right for them.
The apathetic who sit at home and refuse to vote at all while we all suffer the consequences of deceit and corruption.
Just...ugh.

Wanting men in women’s sports & spaces is peak misogyny.
Congratulations, liberals, yall have jumped the shark & literally became the thing you claim to hate most-
Raging misogynists.
Not to mention, lunatics…
Utah has the youngest, most outdoors-obsessed population in the country and a literal multi-million dollar beauty industry.
Half the lifestyle, fashion, and fitness influencers on your feed are literally LDS women from Utah, but okay.
Do go on… it’s really quite entertaining.
