Seeing Albertans talk today about how bad they have been treated by the feds is sad. It's SO clear that they just hate liberals, and if the Ottawa government were CPC we'd have none of this shit. PM Poilievre could have banned pipelines outright and they'd have been fine.#cdnpoli

The most effective attack on Europe is one Europeans don't even recognise as an attack.
Make energy expensive.
Undermine food security.
Discredit scientists.
Divide allies.
Destroy trust in institutions.
Turn Europeans against each other.
Once you see it you can’t unsee it.

My interview in @globeandmail yesterday, on PM Carney's trip to Turkey:
-Turkey is at best a competitive autocracy
-Criticizing Turkey's domestic politics would be pointless - and counterproductive
-Canada should still engage and try to deepen relations

For those not in Alberta the most important thing to understand is that EVERYONE knew that this would be the result. Separatism is a minority opinion in the province and was always going to lose.
So why did we just set fire to 125 MILLION dollars?

The word 'pea' was formed by back-formation from the Middle English word 'pease.'
People mistakenly thought the 's' in pease meant that the word was plural.
In fact, 'pease' was a noncount noun like 'rice.'

Well, isn't this fantastic? Congratulations!
Incredibly honoured to have been asked to serve as Special Advisor to Minister Joly and the Prime Minister of Canada. As I begin this next chapter, I’m grateful for another opportunity to serve Canada.

Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner. Making it okay to charge one group for healthcare is the top of a slippery slope. Who will be next to be considered undeserving of healthcare access? The elderly? Low income earners? Indigenous? LGBTQ+? All of us?

I love the story behind this painting.
The man who made it had failed twice at the most important art competition in France. Instead of trying again, he went home to his village and painted the farmers he had grown up with. And that’s what made him famous...
It’s called October, painted by Jules Bastien-Lepage in 1878. In a wide, open field, a young woman bends forward to tip a basket of freshly dug potatoes into a big sack, and her face is so alive it almost seems to lean out of the canvas toward you. Behind her, another woman kneels in the brown soil, smiling as she gathers more into her basket, while potatoes lie scattered all around them and a few more workers are dotted across the hillside under a cloudy autumn sky. Nothing in the scene has been dressed up for the viewer. It’s simply the harvest, the ordinary work that had to be done every October before winter came.
Bastien-Lepage knew this world from the inside: he grew up in that same village, Damvillers, among the families who worked these fields, and he even wrote its name in the corner of the canvas, just above his signature.
Paris loved it, and when it was shown at the Salon of 1879, it became one of its great attractions. A few years later, the painter Vasily Surikov wrote to a friend that, in an entire Paris exhibition, only a handful of works had “true dignity.” Out of all the grand paintings on those walls, the first one he named was this simple harvest scene...

PSPP: smaller than he appears in the mirror.

The headline should read "The President had lost his mind" But NBC is afraid to lose access and they want the mid-term campaign advertising dollars.
Within the past two weeks, President Trump took a slew of actions that favor Russia and disadvantage Ukraine, raising alarm among some of America’s allies and lawmakers that his latest bid to broker peace between the two will benefit a longtime U.S. adversary. nbcnews.com/politics/white-h…
