The Bible tells Israel to "call out shalom" to a city it besieges, and if the city answers with shalom, its people become forced labourers; refuse and the men are put to the sword. This is the model the current government still works from.
After 70 years of oppression, the jailers of the best-guarded concentration camp ever, with the best-informed, thrice-warned intelligence service of the most moral kneecappers on earth, were at a loss over a sortie so unexpected they'd built a 7-metre wall in anticipation.
Bodged execution in the same country that supplies Israel with super bombs for Gaza: how about diverting just one to execute a criminal? The NAZA would wipe out the executioners, journalists and the public, an acceptable trade-off for eliminating a threat to law and order.
