In Sam Presti we trust, but gotta imagine there will be cycling of these two-way contracts to find players that can hold down the fort.

Aleksej Pokusevski and his fanny pack, please.
Brian Windhorst hints that the Oklahoma City Thunder could potentially bring back a former player 👀 “And this is one thing I’ve talked to executives about, and I don’t mean to be cryptic, but I’m being cryptic… if they're going to acquire a player, would not be a surprise, if they acquire a player they've already had.” (Via Hoop Collective / h/t @JPOSU )

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has shot 18 free throws in the first 4 games of this season. That is his fewest free throws in a 4 game stretch since... April of 2026. He shot 12 total free throws in the last 4 regular season games in he played in. Prior to that it was last season at this time. In Games 3-6 of October 2025, Shai shot 14 free throws in a 4-0 stretch vs ATL, DAL, SAC, and WAS.

Every injury is awful. Full strength basketball is more enjoyable to watch. I want the Thunder to beat the Nuggets, Spurs, Lakers, etc. with everyone on both teams playing with good health. Cason Wallace is my favorite Thunder player and him being out, potentially for months, if not the year, is rough to think about. The injuries across the NBA (especially on the Thunder) is altering the basketball landscape, and while that has always been an issue, it doesn’t make it any easier to digest.

Season altering game. Shai crying during the interview because of the Jalen Williams injury. Heartbreaking. #ThunderUp

The Thunder historically use their two-way players quite a bit, and have converted many players (Dort, Wiggins, Ajay, etc.) to standard contracts. Having flexibility matters in a long season, and there’s a path to keep Oweh on the franchise, while the Thunder have every tool.
NEWS: The Oklahoma City Thunder plan to waive Otega Oweh, league sources tell @TheConsensusNBA. Oweh, the 41st overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, signed a two-way contract, but suffered a ruptured right Achilles tendon that will sideline him for the entire 2026-27 season.

I see these stats, and I don't know where the reference is from. Jason Kidd has 450 career blocked shots while Shai has 425. Jrue Holiday is a PG. He has 541 blocks. James Harden is debatable. He has played more PG than SG. He has 683 blocks.

Cason Wallace Career - Marcus Smart to Eddie Jones? Looking at Cason's stats of PTS, REB, AST, STL, and 3s per 36 minutes in his first 3 seasons, and comparing historically those were the reasonable ranges I found. Low End - Marcus Smart 6th overall pick who at his peak was the DPOY, and a starter for a team that made deep playoff runs. Smart never developed a consistent shot, but had an impactful career. High End - Eddie Jones 10th overall pick (as was Cason) who peaked as an All-Star and All-Defensive player. The rate stats (except PTS) between the two are spot on, as are the FG% and 3PT%. Cason getting as many points, is unlikely, but not impossible for him to get into the mid-teens. Eddie's stats look a little better overall as he was playing 39 minutes a game at his peak. Just a last stat of how young Cason Wallace is. He is entering his 4th season tomorrow and will be 22 years and 347 years old. Eddie Jones was 23 years and 15 years old in his first career NBA game.
