This is actually a good question because in hindsight killinghams abilities appear to be greater than Simmers apart from the fact that sommers is a whimp who really can't fight well

Geto and Kenjaku actually had some interesting parallels.. Geto wanted to eliminate all non sorcerers so curses would stop being born, while Kenjaku wanted to merge all non sorcerers in Japan with Tengen to force humanity into a new state of existence
One wanted to eliminate them, the other wanted to transform them. Both were willing to sacrifice countless lives to achieve their vision of a new world.
The similarities between these two are actually crazy when you think about it
