Becoming increasingly strange the way Nigel Farage insists on keeping Kassam a close member of his inner-circle. Every day he toxifies his and Reform's brand even more. What is it that makes this guy indispensable to him.

⏰The head of the @BritishArmy has just delivered a massive wake-up call to his troops - and the whole of the UK - about the gathering storm.
Please read or watch ⬇️
General Sir Roly Walker tells his soldiers: "You didn’t know this but our nation is going to need you.
"Very soon the political leaders of this country will start to have a frank conversation with the citizens of this country about just what is going on and where the risk lies.
"They are going to try and explain to our citizens that our citizens have got to consent to sacrifices to prioritise defence and security.
"And then they are going to ask those citizens, to whom we are not necessarily at the front of their mind, that they too need to play a part in the defence and security of this country.
"They need to understand what we do for them.
"They need to consent to allow us to do that, which means sacrifices by them.
"And ultimately we are going to need them to back us, to back you to do the one thing that you do that noody else gets to do and that is to take the fight to the enemy."
🇬🇧 Are Britons ready for the sacrifices needed to strengthen national security?

Billions of dollars’ worth of contracts predicting oil would fall and the S&P 500 would rise were placed about 15 minutes before Trump announced a U-turn on Iran in a post on Truth Social. CFTC staff began to investigate-- then were told to lay off. bloomberg.com/news/features/…

During the research for this project, Opus agents made an interesting discovery: a LIDAR scan of the aircraft carrier.
On their own initiative, they realized that in 2024, Washington State DNR did an aerial LIDAR survey... which included Puget Sound.
"Could this LIDAR data include the Nimitz?" they wondered. They investigated. Sure enough, they matched raw LIDAR point data to what could only be a huge ship.
It was the Nimitz.
Nimitz was alongside at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington, for a maintenance period. She happened to be under the survey aircraft's flight path, so she's in the public Geospatial data.
(sources in comments)
With that public-but-buried data, Opus was able to match the model to nearly-exact dimensions from the laser scan.
How much other data like this is hiding in plain sight?

Today I went to a select committee hearing on AI. A few interesting things came out of it, but what really stuck with me was the behaviour of the MPs
They weren’t paying attention
At one point I counted 6 of the 13 MPs on the committee looking at their phones. And not in that way you do when you’re quickly checking something - two stared at their phones for over half an hour. Several others left before the end
Many people think AI is the most important thing in the world. The MPs were warned there was a 50/50 chance it might destroy humanity! You’d think that’d be enough to make you take your chance to listen to experts and key players on the topic - apparently not

Excl w/ @daisyeastlake: Pro-Palestinian activists ran an organised campaign inside the Green Party to recruit members, secure influential party positions and reshape its policies from within, The Times can reveal.
More than five and a half hours of recordings of weekly Greens for Palestine meetings showed members speaking of “using the party” and attempting to ensure those supportive of their position gained key party roles.
In the meetings Animah Kosai, one of the co-chairs, said: “I don’t believe in serving the Green Party, and I think some people are going to hate me for this. I actually believe in using the party in order to reach certain goals. And in this case, for Palestine, for anti-imperialism.”
Lubna Speitan, one of the proposers of the “Zionism is racism” motion passed at the party’s conference on Sunday, said: “I’m going to knock on every door and just talk about Palestine […] It’s about the quality of membership and who we want to bring into this party.”
Shahrar Ali, a former deputy leader who is suspended from the party, accused the organisers of “internal political manipulation with scant regard for the integrity of democratic process”. He claimed it was “naked entryism that is corrupting the party beyond recognition”.
Another longstanding party member said there was “clear evidence” of “a highly organised campaign by a small number of infiltrators to take over the party’s key votes and committees”.
