Promoting the RCN at Ross on Wye Community Hospital today @RCNWestMids @WyeValleyNHS
#RCN24 @RCNWestMids @theRCN @lozzybobbler Got a bit of post Congress blues today but what a week. Great times together with my RCN colleague Lauren plus great to meet Sam and Student Nurses Jess and Hana. BJ, you’ll be missed as Congress chair.

Congratulations to RCN Health & Safety Rep Tim Woods, who has been elected Deputy Chair of Staff Side at @WyeValleyNHS.
Once again, poor service from @tfwrail at Shrewsbury. Broken down trains (new units too!) and cancellations. Little or no announcements and severe overcrowding with angry passengers. Now on a hastily arranged bus replacement to Hereford. – at Shrewsbury, England

Tim started off as a volunteer in outpatients before becoming a HCA; Tim speaks highly of the friendly and supportive outpatients’ team. Tim also assists our chaplain in a time of prayer and quiet for hospital staff for all faiths and none. #amazingWVTvolunteers #amazingWVTstaff
Current fare comparison from Windermere back to Morecambe. Train=£19:60. (Ouch!🤪) Bus=£2:00.😉
Pretty much the same journey time. – at North West, England
Reflecting on a great week at RCN Congress in Brighton with rep colleagues, Charley and Lauren. Great debate and fringe discussions. It was great for us to meet and chat with Pat Cullen too. I’ve also signed up to be an RCN Champion for RCN Workforce Standards in our hospital. – at West Midlands, England
#RCN23 @RCNWestMids Hope you’re either home or still safely on your way. We’re stuck at Paddington amid a sea of delays and cancellations and unable to travel yet because of silly off peak rules. £309 extra to pay if we travel now! – at Kensington, London
#RCN23 @RCNWestMids RCN Herefordshire mascot-Teddy Toots is ready for his last day at Congress – at Hove, England
#rcn23 @RCNWestMids I seem to have picked up a little friend at Congress coffee time this morning! – at Brighton, England
Thank you RCN for a great Joint Reps Conference here in Leeds. Lots of learning and meeting friends old and new. Safe journeys home everyone and see you at Congress #RCNReps23 – at Leeds, England

Thank you to our @theRCN members at @WyeValleyNHS, @HWHCT_NHS and @WorcsAcuteNHS for taking the time to talk to us this week about our #FairPayForNursing strike ballot. The ballot is now open - look out for your ballot paper in the post.
