History Made.
Sophomore Zane Brown etched his name into the Belmont record books on Saturday, throwing the 12th no-hitter in program history in a 1-0 win over Valparaiso.
Brown battled through early pressure and locked in, retiring the final 13 batters he faced. With two outs and a full count in the ninth, he struck out the final batter to complete Belmontโs first solo no-hitter in 28 years.
A career-high nine strikeouts, a new personal milestone, and a moment for the history books โ Zane Brown, take a bow.
