On a particularly beautiful sunny Sunday a woman gathered herself together, she was anxious, the day had arrived for her to be brave & let people know her story.
She needed to do this for herself & for others who hadn’t yet found their voice.

I’m aghast at the reaction of people to this ad.
I’ve seen many comments questioning why the grandmother looks so creepy, you’ve all missed the vital message here.
This ad is portraying the feelings that the child is experiencing.

This is how the child sees the person, the unwanted physical affection is making her skin crawl.
I was berated every time I shirked away from my grandfather, the man who used to squeeze my non existent breasts when I had to accept his hugs.
You were a petrified puppy who’d been beaten yet you chose to honour me with your trust.
Slowly you learned you were safe & loved.
I needed you as much as you needed me.

A plastic 500ml container labeled 'Castrol GTX high performance oil', registered to Castrol (Ireland) Limited was found during 2016 test excavation on Tuam’s #MotherAndBabyHome site. This particular bottle was first released in the UK and Ireland in 1968.

I was born there in the early 70’s.#Adopted by a loving father & a cruel mother.
My adoptive grandfather was a #paedophile who sexually abused me from the age of 8 until I became pregnant at 12.
I miscarried.

The state have never wanted to pursue an Investigation. A #CPO will destroy any chance of an #IndependantInvestigation
Finding the #MissingBabies must be paramount
A memorial park is not #Justice, IMO it is an unwelcome compromise

Contrary to politicians & media reports, there's been a continuous ongoing narrative that there are 859 #Bessborough children that haven't been found.
If we're going to pursue remembering these infants, we need to be factual.
It is in fact, 858. 65 children have been found.
