It's too bad to see Facebook co-opt the term without taking its meaning seriously beyond asking what are "meaningful interactions." I'm surprised bc @pkafka is a long-time follower of our work on time well spent yet he did not link it back to its source. #CodeMedia xitter.cf/jason_kint/status/9632…
the fact Zuckerberg and Facebook have co-opt "Time Well Spent" from @tristanharris annoys me every time they use it. I've heard it 20+ times in this fireside chat. It's PR spin to cover their decline in trust and engagement. #codemedia

Wired cover story on a lot of our work and more. xitter.cf/wired/status/963021236…
COVER STORY: For two years, it’s been hell inside of Facebook. 51 current and former employees paint a picture of a company grappling with the problems it’s caused, and a CEO whose techno-optimism is circling the drain as he tries to fix them bit.ly/2nYK96I

The recommendation engines used by social networks are conspiracy correlation matrices that push susceptible people down rabbit holes. Every platform with a system suggesting content or "who to follow" is gameable & broken and we've known this for years. theguardian.com/technology/2…

Great thread on the future of “fake news” given our current trajectory. xitter.cf/normative/status/95623…
The prospect of any Internet rando being able to swap anyone’s face into porn is incredibly creepy. But my first thought is that we have not even scratched the surface of how bad ‘fake news’ is going to get. motherboard.vice.com/en_us/a…
